Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices for authentication during fast initial network link setup within wireless communication systems are disclosed. In one aspect, a method for wireless communication is provided. The method includes generating an aggregated message, the aggregated message comprising a pairwise master key identifier (PMKID) and an extensible authentication protocol re-authentication protocol (EAP-RP) frame. The method further includes transmitting the aggregated message.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described including determining one or more unfiltered CFOs, filtering the one or more unfiltered CFOs to identify a refined CFO based at least in part on the one or more unfiltered CFOs and a predetermined number of packets, modifying a transmission parameter based at least in part on the refined CFO, and transmitting a signal in a MU-MIMO environment based at least in part on the modified transmission parameter.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus includes a processor configured to establish a first link with a second apparatus via a first band, establish a second link with the second apparatus via a second band using a tunneling protocol, and receive data from/provide data to the second apparatus via at least one of the first link or the second link, wherein the data received or provided via the first link includes a first medium access control (MAC) address associated with the first link, and the data received or provided via the second link includes a second MAC address associated with the second link. The processor is further configured to bind the first link to the second link to receive the data from/provide the data to the second apparatus via the first band and the second band.
Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods for wireless communications via relays are disclosed. A relay capable client station STA includes a processing system configured to associate with an access point AP, to monitor a wireless medium for a request from another client station STA, and to determine whether to enable an interface between the access pont AP and the other client station STA in response to the request.

Abstract:
Systems, methods and devices for modifying relay operation of a wireless device are disclosed. In one aspect an apparatus for modifying relay operation of a wireless node comprises a processing system configured to generate a message requesting the wireless node to enable access point operation of the wireless node or instructing the wireless node to disable the access point operation of the wireless node. The message comprises a relay activation information element. The message comprises one or more of a field indicating a time for the wireless node to enable the access point operation or disable the access point operation and a field indicating whether the message is requesting the wireless node to enable the access point operation or instructing the wireless node to disable the access point operation.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. In aspect, a first apparatus receives from a second apparatus information related to an ability of the second apparatus to associate with other apparatuses, and limits associations at the first apparatus based on the information. In another aspect, the first apparatus associates with a second apparatus, and transmits to the second apparatus information that indicates a number of desirable associations at the second apparatus.
Abstract:
Techniques for performing WLAN system scanning and selection are described. A terminal performs multiple iterations of scan to detect for WLAN systems. A scan list containing at least one WLAN system to detect for is initially determined. For each scan iteration, a scan type may be selected from among the supported scan types. The selected scan type may indicate passive scan or active scan, frequency channels to scan, etc. A scan may be performed based on the selected scan type. Signal strength measurements are obtained for access points received during the scan and used to identify detected access points. After all scan iterations are completed, candidates access points are identified based on the scan results, e.g., based on the signal strength measurements for the detected access points and a detection threshold. The best candidate access point may be selected for association by the terminal.

Abstract:
A second apparatus for wireless communications and a corresponding method is disclosed. The second apparatus generates a request for transmission in a wireless medium, the request comprising a request for a first relay capable apparatus to provide an interface to an access point, outputs the request for transmission over the wireless medium and accesses the access point through the interface if the request has been granted by the first apparatus. The request specifies a wireless network operator, to enable the first apparatus to limit the interface for communication with an access point belonging to the wireless network operator.
