Les signaux de correction sont appliques (28) a la camera (14) pour regler la camera en fonction de tous les signaux de correction avant de remesurer les lignes de canevas.

The leading edge of an object is detected by one-shot 22 and for a period of time set by one-shot 22 the object 18 and background video 14 signals are mixed. After that period, only the object video 18 is transmitted. Upon detection of the object's trailing edge by one-shot 28, the two video signals are again mixed for a period of time set by one-shot 28. After this latter period, only the background video signal 14 is transmitted until another object's edge is detected. The mixing of the signals at the edges of the object produces a blending of the object into the background scene so that the object appears to be more realistically part of a single scene. The area of the foreground video signal around the object is maintained at a "blacker-than-black" level to ensure that object detail is not mistaken for an edge. Inverter 26 is provided since the one-shots trigger only on positive-going transitions. The delays 12, 20 are about half of one pixel period.
