Abstract:
Attaching device for a rail by means of elastic fastenings of the type comprising a spring-forming elastic plate tightened by a bolt against a sleeper clip of plated plastic material bearing on the rail support and on the rail base. The spring plate has a triangular or trapezoidal known shape of which the bigger side bears in parallel onto the rail base and covers the plastic sleeper clip which has a substantially identical contour and presents thereto a corresponding concave bearing surface according to the desired deformation of the plate, substantially spherical and centered on the axis of the tightening mean. Application to railway constructions, particularly of the type of long rails, for high speed trains.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for controlling a road vehicle clutch associated with a gearbox with sliding wheels depending on the position of the gearshift lever, of the position of the brake pedal, on the moving speed of the vehicle and on the engine speed, characterised in that the closure of the clutch stop is allowed on at least one transmission ratio without using the accelerator, thus enabling the vehicle to start with the engine idling.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an air bag for protecting, in the event of a frontal impact, a passenger sitting in the rear of a motor vehicle, characterised in that the air bag (18) is stored in a housing (22) provided in a side panel (20) of the vehicle beside the passenger, and in that the air bag (18) is designed to unfold along a slightly oblique direction (A1) with respect to the transversal direction of the vehicle so as to unfold as close as possible to the passenger (10).
Abstract:
The air supply system for an internal combustion engine, comprises an air intake (1), a branch conduit (6) connecting the air intake (1) to the exhaust canal (4), a flow metre (7) mounted in the air intake (1) upstream of the point where the branch conduit (6) opens into the air intake (1), and an adjustable valve (8) mounted in the branch conduit (6), a device (9) for measuring the opening of the valve and a regulator (15).
Abstract:
The invention discloses a motor vehicle body comprising a door (10) with two articulated wings (11, 12) which overlay from outside, a corresponding opening (13) of the body, and, with their upper part (6) a channel (3) located along one side of the vehicle roof (1) for draining off surface water. The invention is characterised in that the first wing (11) upper edge (1) is mounted on a spacing stop (22) integral with the mounting edge (21) of the second wing (12) and the said stop (22) is supported on a blocking protuberance (20), borne by the first wing (11) so as to prevent the actuating of the said wings (11, 12) and their coming in contact in the proximity of the body opening.
Abstract:
Liquid-cooled, e.g. water-cooled, alternators suitable for electrical power supply in a vehicle with a heat engine are disclosed. The cooling circuit includes at least one thermoelectric component (16, 18, 20, 22) in the cooling circuit outlet duct (14). The component is connected directly to the output terminal (34) of the alternator via a short conductor (66, 68, 70, 72) and a switch which connects the component to the alternator only when certain conditions are met.
Abstract:
A method comprising a cycle of steps of calculating the depth of discharge (PDDa) of a battery (6) by counting the amounts of electricity (Qi) transmitted or received by the battery and applying to each amount of electricity an efficiency coefficient selected from a plurality of efficiency coefficients (Kx,y, K'x,y); estimating the depth of discharge (PDDu) of the battery on the basis of a measurement of the battery voltage (U) and the current (I) flowing through the battery; comparing the calculated depth of discharge (PDDa) with the estimated depth of discharge (PDDu); and, when the difference between the two depths of discharge (PDDa, PDDu) is greater then a predetermined threshold value (SX), correcting at least part of said efficiency coefficients (Kx,y, K'x,y) in order to bring the calculated depth of discharge (PDDa) closer to the estimated depth of discharge (PDDu). The method is particularly useful for making a battery gauge for an electric motor vehicle.
Abstract:
A crankshaft for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine, consisting of a shaft (2) with journals (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5) and throws (M1, M2, M3, M4) connected to said journals via arms (B11, B12, B22, B23, B33, B34, B44, B45) that have through-bores (C2, C4) enabling lubricating oil to pass from the journals (T2, T4) to the throws (M1, M2, M3, M4). This crankshaft is characterized in that said bores (C2, C4) are sealed by rivets at their outlet ends.
Abstract:
A method for limiting the input torque of an automatic transmission provided with a hydraulic torque converter and combined with a drive engine, wherein the converter speed ratio i = omega T omega m is continuously determined on the basis of measurements of the converter turbine speed omega T and the engine speed omega m, a maximum value omega m for the engine speed omega m is defined for each value of i, which maximum value must not be exceeded if the transmission is not to be overloaded, and the sign and amplitude of the quantity DELTA omega m (i) = omega m (i) - omega m are monitored.
