Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient interface system capable of closing the airway of a patient and delivering breathable gas to the airway of a patient. SOLUTION: The patient interface system includes a patient interface structure 2000 configured to sealingly engage the patient's nostrils; a pair of strips configured to be connected to both sides of the patient interface structure; and an adhesive configured to fix the patient interface structure. Another patient interface system includes a first component including the adhesive on a first side and a hook or loop fastener material on a second side, wherein the adhesive is configured to adhere the component to the face of the patient; and a patient interface structure configured to sealingly engage with the patient's airway. The patient interface structure includes a second component including a loop or hook fastener material configured to engage with the hook or loop fastener material of the first strip to fix the patient interface structure in sealing engagement with the patient's face. The patient interface system includes nasal prongs or pillows 2002 to sealingly engage with the nostrils and a spring configured to bias the nasal prongs or pillows outward. Abstract: Disclosed is a respiratory treatment apparatus. The apparatus has a flow pressurizer apparatus configured to generate a pressurized flow of air through a fine bore delivery conduit toward a patient interface. A treatment compensator is coupled with the fine bore delivery conduit at the patient interface which reduces a first pressure to a second pressure for patient inspiration above atmospheric pressure. A processor controls adjustments to the first pressure generated by the flow pressurizer apparatus and/or the second pressure of the treatment compensator.

Abstract: Disclosed is a patient interface system or nose mask for delivering a flow of breathable gas to a patient to pressurise the airway. The mask comprises a first component extending across a patient's nasal bridge comprising light sensitive adhesive on a first side and a first mechanical interlocking fastener on a second side, wherein the adhesive is configured to adhere the first component at a first position on a patient's face in use. A patient interface structure is configured to sealingly engage a patient's airways, the patient interface including a seal to contact the patient's face at a second position that is different than the first position. The patient interface structure includes a second component comprising a second mechanical interlocking fastener configured to engage the first mechanical interlocking fastener of the first component to secure the seal in sealing engagement with the patient's face at the second position, wherein the patient interface structure is repositionable relative to the first component by disengaging the first mechanical interlocking fastener from the second mechanical interlocking fastener and reengaging the first mechanical interlocking fastener with the second mechanical interlocking fastener.

Abstract: A device provides respiratory treatment such as for sleep disordered breathing and other respiratory conditions in a discreet configuration to provide a minimally invasive system. The system may include a flow pressurizer apparatus configured to generate a pressurized flow of air through a fine bore delivery conduit toward a patient interface. The system may further include a treatment compensator coupled with the fine bore delivery conduit. The treatment compensator may be configured at the patient interface to reduce pressure for patient inspiration. A processor may control adjustments to the pressure generated by the flow pressurizer apparatus.
