Abstract: A system (PAP system 210) for delivering pressurized air to a patient for treatment of sleep disordered breathing, the system comprising: a patient interface (230) adapted to form a seal with a patient’s face, each side of the patient interface including an inlet structured to receive a flow of air at a positive pressure for breathing by the patient; air delivery tubing (240) adapted to couple the patient interface to an outlet of a PAP device (220) to deliver the flow of air at the positive pressure to the patient interface, the air delivery tubing including an outlet tube (240(1)) that bifurcates into a pair of inlet tubes (240(2)), each of the pair of inlet tubes connected to a respective inlet of the patient interface and the outlet tube adapted to couple to the outlet (221) of a PAP device; and headgear to stabilize and support the patient interface and the air delivery tubing on the patient’s head. The headgear includes a generally circular strap including a crown strap portion (270(1)) adapted to engage the crown of the patient’s head and a back strap portion (270(2)) adapted to engage the back of the patient’s head. The pair of inlet tubes are arranged external the headgear and each of the pair of inlet tubes is adapted to pass generally along a respective cheek region of the patient, above a respective ear of the patient, and over the crown of the patient’s head, independent from the crown strap portion and the back strap portion of the headgear.

Abstract: 613721 613721 Systems, devices and methods of use adapted for treatment of respiratory disease or sleep disordered breathing include a patient interface (10) adapted to be secured to and sealed against a portion of a patient’s face, in use. A flow generator is adapted to be connected to the patient interface and to be secured by a portion of the patient’s body. The flow generator includes a blower (not shown) adapted to provide pressurised breathable gas to a patient through the patient interface. The blower is adapted to be at least partially vibrationally isolated from the patient’s body by at least one dampening system (not shown) or device. The dampening device or system is adapted to reduce the amount of transmitted vibration received by the patient. A PAP system includes a patient interface including sealing arrangement (30) adapted to form a seal with the patient’s nose and/or mouth and headgear (40) to support the sealing arrangement in position on the patient’s head. A blower is structured to generate a supply of pressurized air. The blower is supported by the patient interface on the patient’s head and in communication with the patient interface. At least one of the headgear and the supporting wall is configured to limit the extent to which the nostril engagement flaps flex and prevents an angle between the nostril engagement flaps from reaching 180º
