Abstract: La présente invention concerne la chloration sélective par le chlore gazeux de composés phénoliques, en position ortho par rapport à la fonction hydroxyle. Plus précisément il s'agit d'un procédé de chloration sélective en position ortho par rapport à la fonction hydroxyle de composés phénoliques par le chlore gazeux en milieu fondu et en présence d'un cation organique. Le présent procédé est applicable notamment à la chloration du dichloro-2,4 phénol en mélange avec le dichloro-2,6 phénol.
