Abstract: Provided are embodiments for performing encryption and decryption in accordance with one or more embodiments. The embodiments include generating a random key address, obtaining a pre-stored key using the random key address, and re-arranging portions of the pre-stored key using the random key address. Embodiments also include selecting a dynamic logic operation based on the random key address, receiving data for encryption, and combining portions of the received data for encryption with the re-arranged portions of the pre-stored key using the dynamic logic operation to produce encrypted data. Embodiments include re-arranging portions of the encrypted data based on the random key address and combining the re-arranged portions of the encrypted data with the random key address into an encrypted data packet for transmission. Also provided are embodiments for a transmitter and receiver for performing the encryption and decryption.

Abstract: A transceiver baseband hardware including an encryption-decryption block configured to encrypt and jumble intended transmission data or unjumble and decrypt received encrypted data, the encryption-decryption based on key coefficients generated based on a random key address, the encryption-decryption implemented via a cross logical operation of the encryption-decryption block. The cross logical operation includes when lower significant bytes of the key coefficients operating on most significant bytes of the intended transmission data and the encrypted data. The jumble and unjumble are implemented by a byte displacement/placement block based at least in part on the random key address.

Abstract: A method for coordinating Wireless Avionics Intra-Communication (WAIC) communications with a radio altimeter signal includes monitoring a frequency band and recording a sequence of time stamps, each time stamp of the sequence of time stamps corresponding to a time at which a strength of the radio altimeter signal exceeds a threshold signal strength in the frequency band. The method further includes calculating time stamp intervals between successive time stamps to produce a sequence of time stamp intervals, and identifying a pattern of time stamp intervals in the sequence of time stamp intervals. The method further includes coordinating the WAIC communications with the pattern of time stamp intervals to avoid interference with the radio altimeter signal.
