    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce alkynylsilanes useful as an organic synthetic reactant, etc., such as a protecting group or an alkynylating agent by reacting a specific halosilane with a 1-alkyne in the coexistence of metallic samarium and a zinc salt. SOLUTION: A halosilane represented by formula I [R is H, an alkyl, an aryl, an alkenyl or an alkynyl having no acetylenic hydrogen; X is a halogen; (n) is an integer of 0-3] (e.g. chlorotrimethylsilane) is reacted with a 1-alkyne represented by formula II (R is an alkyl, a cycloalkyl, an aryl, an alkenyl, an alkynyl having no acetylenic hydrogen, an alkoxy, silyl or an acyl) (e.g. phenylethynye) in the coexistence of metallic samarium and a zinc salt to thereby efficiently afford the objective alkynylsilane represented by formula III and useful as an organic synthetic reactant, etc., such as a protecting group or an alkynylating agent [e.g. trimethyl(phenylethynyl)silane].

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title substance useful as a raw material for medicine, synthetic high polymer, etc., by reacting a halogenated organosilicon compound with a vinyloxy compound in the presence of a catalyst of the group VIII metal and fluoride ion. CONSTITUTION:A compound expressed by formula I (R is alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, alkynyl, etc.; R to R are halogen, alkyl, aryl, alkenyl, alkynyl, etc.) is reacted with a compound expressed by formula II (R to R are alkoxycarbonyl, alkoxy, CN, acyl, H, alkyl, etc.; R is acyl, sulfonyl, etc.) in the presence of a catalyst of the group VIII metal [e.g., tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium] and fluoride ion (e.g. tetrabutylammonium fluoride), preferably in an aprotic polar solvent such as DMF at ambient temperature to 80 deg.C to provide the compound expressed by formula III.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title polysilane useful as a functional polymer such as a nonlinear optical material by polymerizing a specified small-ring polysilane through ring opening in the presence of a polymerization catalyst in a solvent. CONSTITUTION:A small-ring polysilane of formula I (wherein R to R are each H, alkyl, aryl, alkenyl, alkinyl, alkoxy, silyl or halogen, and R and R , R and R , R and R , or R and R together with the corresponding bonded Si atom may be combined with each other to form a ring; and m is 0-1) is polymerized through ring opening in the presence of a polymerization catalyst (e.g. iodotrimethyl-silane) in a solvent (e.g. 1, 2-dichloroethane) to obtain the title polysilane of formula II (wherein n is 2 or greater).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce in high selectivity the subject olefins useful as an intermedi ate for synthesis of an anti-inflammatory drug, terpenes, etc., by reacting an organosilicon compound with an unsaturated compound in the presence of a 10th shell transition metal catalyst and a nucleophilic reagent. CONSTITUTION:In the presence of a 10th shell transition metal catalyst such as a palladium complex or a nickel complex and a nucleophilic reagent (e.g. onium fluoride or amine), a compound of formula I (R -R are H, alkyl, alkenyl, alklynyl, alkoxyl, ailyl or halogen; R is F, Cl, Br or alkoxyl; R are R are R alkyl, aryl, alkenyl or alkylnyl) is reacted with a compound of formula II (R -R are R -R ; Y is group for elimination; n is 0 or 1) preferably in an aprotic solvent at room temeprature -100 deg.C to obtain the objective compound of formula III, e.g. 3-(4--acetyphenyl)-1-butene. The above-mentioned reaction can be carried out without requirement of protection of functional groups.
