Abstract: A method of securing a pipeline (2) to the bed (3) of a body of water (4) includes moving an underwater vehicle (6) selectively, on the bed (3) of the- body of water (4), along the pipeline (2); transporting a plurality of fastening devices (7) on the underwater vehicle (6); and driving each fastening device (7) partly into the bed (3) of the body of water (4), close to the pipeline (2), by means of a handling device (16) mounted on the underwater vehicle (6), to confine the pipeline (2) between the bed (3) of the body of water (4) and the fastening device (7).
