Abstract:
An absorbent product with a plane extension a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction and a thickness direction is described. The product includes an absorption body, which includes, in its thickness direction, a liquid-receiving, open-cell foam layer and a liquid-absorbent fibrous layer. The liquid-receiving, open-cell foam layer has a total surface that covers the entire surface of the liquid-absorbent, fibrous layer in the plane extension; each of the longitudinally extending side edges extends at least along a part of its length outside of each of the longitudinally running side edges of the liquid-absorbent, fibrous layer; and has an air permeability that is greater than 200 m3/m2/min and an opacity greater than 35%. The liquid-absorbent, fibrous layer has a bending stiffness greater than 2.0 newtons measured according to the modified Circular Bend Procedure method.
Abstract:
An anti-splash device for urinals, including a porous member adapted to be detachably attached to an inner surface of a urinal is disclosed. The porous member holds a composition including an odour inhibiting and/or odour masking substance. A visual indication of the need of replacement is given by the composition when the odour inhibiting and/or odour masking substance is getting used-up.
Abstract:
An absorbent article includes a liquid permeable top sheet, a liquid impermeable back sheet, an absorbent core being arranged between the top sheet and the back sheet, and an acquisition and distribution layer (ADL) of a nonwoven material being arranged between the top sheet and the absorbent core. The nonwoven material has a basis weight of 20-40 g/m2, 3-20 through holes per cm2, the holes having a diameter in CD and MD of 1-3 mm, and at least 70% by weight of the nonwoven ADL includes fibers having a fiber diameter of 12-22 μm.

Abstract:
A folded absorbent product includes at least one fold in the transverse direction of the product and an absorption body. The absorption body includes, in its thickness direction, a liquid-receiving, flexible foam layer and a liquid-absorbent fibrous layer. The liquid-receiving flexible foam layer has a total surface in the plane extension of the product that at least covers the entire surface of the liquid-absorbent, fibrous layer in the plane extension; and has a bending stiffness that is lower than 0.30 newtons measured according to the modified Circular Bend Procedure method and the liquid-absorbent. The fibrous layer has a bending stiffness that is greater than 2.0 newtons measured according to the modified Circular Bend Procedure method.
Abstract:
An absorbent product includes a nonwoven material arranged to be in contact with skin of a user during use of the absorbent product. The nonwoven material includes, at least on a skin contacting surface, a mixture of non-absorbent and absorbent fibres. The absorbent fibres are present in an amount of 2-30% by weight, or about 2-10% by weight, based on the total weight of the fibres in the nonwoven material. The non-absorbent fibres have a coarseness of 1.8 to 10 dtex and the absorbent fibres have a coarseness of 1 to 10. Also disclosed is a use of a nonwoven material in an absorbent product to reduce wet friction between the nonwoven and skin of a user.
