Abstract:
A method, data processing unit, and system for monitoring excrement data for seeking a pattern for a monitoring period, wherein said excrement data is associated with at least one absorbent article and a person wearing said at least one absorbent article is disclosed. The method includes acquiring excrement data including excrement data for at least two different time periods, each substantially corresponding to the monitoring period for which a pattern of events is sought, wherein said excrement data includes information of excrement into an absorbent article in form of excrement events, and wherein each excrement event has an associated time mark or associated information from which an associated time mark may be derived; and smoothing the time mark of each excrement event.
Abstract:
A method, processing unit, and system for monitoring excrement data for seeking a pattern for a monitoring period includes acquiring excrement data including excrement data for at least two different time periods, each substantially corresponding to the monitoring period for which a pattern of events is sought. The excrement data is associated with at least one absorbent article and a person wearing said at least one absorbent article and includes information of excrement supply into an absorbent article in form of excrement events. Each excrement event has an associated time mark or associated time information from which an associated time mark may be derived. Further, the method includes providing a series of sequential non-overlapping time intervals, together substantially extending over the monitoring period, associating each time interval with a segment of a diagram, calculating a number of excrement events corresponding to each time interval for all time periods for which data is acquired, and associating the number of excrement events corresponding to each time interval with a corresponding segment of the diagram.
Abstract:
A method, a data processing unit, and system thereof for monitoring excrement data of at least one absorbent article for seeking a pattern of excrement events for a monitoring period is disclosed. The at least one absorbent article being associated with a person wearing said at least one absorbent article. The method includes acquiring excrement data including data for at least two time periods, each substantially corresponding to the monitoring period for which a pattern of excrement events is sought; providing a series of sequential non-overlapping time intervals, together extending substantially over the monitoring period; and associating the time mark of each associated excrement event with a corresponding time interval. The excrement data includes information in form of excrement events into said associated absorbent article, and wherein each excrement event has an associated time mark or associated time information from which an associated time mark may be derived.
Abstract:
An anti-splash device for urinals, including a porous member adapted to be detachably attached to an inner surface of a urinal is disclosed. The porous member holds a composition including an odour inhibiting and/or odour masking substance. A visual indication of the need of replacement is given by the composition when the odour inhibiting and/or odour masking substance is getting used-up.
Abstract:
A method for detecting and conveying an alarm signal, when an absorbent article is unfastened or, completely removed from the body of the wearer. The method is intended to be used in parallel with a method for detecting wetness in the absorbent article and further relates to an integrated detection-and-alarm method for detecting unfastening and/or wetness in an absorbent article. A system for detecting and conveying an alarm signal when an absorbent article is unfastened or removed from the body of the wearer and/or when the article is wet. The system includes (a) and absorbent article having at least one absorbent layer, the object to be displaced, such as a fastening system, one or more sensoring devices, one or more transmitting devices, and (b) a remote receiver. Furthermore, the system relates to the use of the system in the care of children and adults suffering from incontinence and/or psychological illnesses.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to an absorbent article (1) comprising: a temperature sensor (5), and at Least one temperature change material (6) arranged such that it is capable of affecting a temperature change due to a supply of excrement, and such that said temperature sensor (5) is capable of being responsive to said affected temperature change. The invention relates also to a system for detecting a supply of excrement into an absorbent article (1), said system comprising an absorbent article (1) according the invention being arranged to generate an output signal representative of the temperature, and a processing unit (8) adapted to process an output signal generated by the temperature sensor (5). The processing unit (8)is adapted to determine a change of temperature, wherein said change of temperature is affected by the temperature change material (6), and detect a supply of excrement into said absorbent article (1) based on said change of temperature, whereby the supply of excrement is associated with a change of temperature. Further, the invention relates to a method of detecting a supply of excrement into an absorbent article (1), wherein said absorbent article (1) is an absorbent article according to any one of claims 1-22, said method comprising the steps of determining (100) a change of temperature, wherein said change of temperature is affected by the temperature change material (6); and detecting (200) a supply of excrement based on said change of temperature. The invention relates also to a kit comprising an absorbent article and a temperature sensor, wherein said absorbent article comprises at least one temperature change material arranged such that it is capable of affecting a temperature change due to a supply of excrement, and such that said temperature sensor is capable of being responsive to said affected temperature change when arranged in contact with said absorbent article.
Abstract:
An absorbent article such as a diaper, panty diaper, panty liner, a sanitary napkin, an incontinence device or the like, includes at least a liquid-permeable topsheet made from at least one layer of web, foam or film material and a backsheet made from at least one layer of web, foam or film material, and optionally at least one further layer of web, foam or film material. At least one of the layers includes a coating of a hydrophobic thermoplastic polymer having an irregular surface and shows a contact angle of a sessile water drop of more than 110°. Depending on the location and the arrangement of this highly hydrophobic coating, beneficial effects in terms of the control of body liquids arise.
