Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To include an absorber body recording between a cover sheet and an internal sheet in an absorptive product suitable for use as a diaper or clothing for adult incontinence. SOLUTION: The folds which are arranged in the internal sheet and extend in a longitudinal direction prevent the leakage of the body exudate from the edges of the product. Stretching members extend along part of the folds in the central part of the product. The stretching members connected to the internal sheet extend adjacently to the edges of the absorber body in the back part of the product and improve the feel of fit to the clothing. The stretching members are connected to the internal sheet as well in the front part of the product and extend adjacently to the edges of the absorber body, thereby improving the feel of fit to the clothing.
Abstract:
A pant-type absorbent article includes a front and a back portion, longitudinally extending side seams and a connecting portion between the front and back portions. The connecting portion forms a crotch region and leg openings. Part of the front portion, back portion, and the connecting portion is made of an elastic laminate extending transversely across the front, back and connecting portions. Elongated leg elastic members extend along the leg openings in at least part of the connecting portion and terminate at a distance from the respective side seam thus leaving an area corresponding to a peripheral length of at least 50 mm along the respective leg opening where the leg elastic members are absent and wherein the connecting portion in the area where the leg elastic members are absent is made of the elastic laminate in at least 90% of the peripheral length.
Abstract:
An absorbent pant article in the form of boxer shorts includes a garment shell including a front body panel, a back body panel and a crotch panel made of elastic web material. The pant also includes an absorbent core, side seams connecting the front body panel to the back body panel, a pair of leg openings and hanging legs. The leg openings are located in the crotch panel and do not extend into the front and back body panels, and side seams extend into the crotch panel. The width of the crotch panel in a relaxed condition of the elastic web material, as measured between the side seams of the article, is at least 7% larger than the width of any of the front and back body panels in a relaxed condition of the respective elastic web material.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an absorption article such as an incontinence device of the pant type, or a pant diaper, comprising a liquid-permeable topsheet (10), a liquid-impermeable backsheet (11) and an absorption body (12) positioned therebetween, the absorption body (12) having an elongate shape with two longitudinal side edges (13, 14) and two transverse side edges (15, 16), the article having two longitudinal side edges (1, 2), a longitudinal centre line (5), a transverse centre line (6), a front end portion which is intended during normal use to lie against or in proximity to the abdomen of the wearer, a rear end portion (18) which is intended during normal use to lie against or in proximity to the bottom of the back of the wearer, and a crotch portion (19) lying therebetween, the rear end portion (18) and the adjacent part of the crotch portion (19) having a transverse elastic system (25), a rear leg elastic system (31) which runs between the two longitudinal side edges (1, 2) of the article along the leg cutout of the article in the rear part of the crotch portion (19) and crosses the crotch portion (19) essentially parallel to the transverse centre line (6) of the article. The article has, on each side of the absorption body (12), a pocket (35, 36) for temporary storage of liquid, the extent of the pocket (35, 36) being limited by the longitudinal side edge (13, 14) of the absorption body (12), the transverse elastic system (25) and the rear leg elastic system (31).
