Abstract:
A laminating blanket comprising a structure woven from polyether-ether-ketone monofilament yarns and having a silicone rubber coating at the support surface thereof. The woven structure being heat set prior to application of the coating and the coating embodying additives to provide enhanced thermal transmission, heat capacity, anti-static or other requisite characteristics. A needled batt may be provided between the coating layer and woven structure.
Abstract:
An industrial fabric such as a fusing or laminating belt and a method for the production thereof is proposed wherein an endless base fabric (21) is coated with successive layers (24, 25,26) of a synthetic plastics coating material, some at least of the layers including silicate bodies therein. The total coating includes at least one layer (25a) applied by lick coating and at least one layer (25, 26) applied by dip coating.

Abstract:
The invention is concerned with a printing blanket or the like comprising a textile base fabric (11) defined by a coherent woven or knitted core (14) having a batt of textile fibres needled thereto and a silicone or like coating (13) to such base fabric, the exposed face of the coating being of profiled form. In producing the coating, multiple layers of a silicone rubber or equivalent material are applied to the base fabric. In order to provide the profiled surface to the end product, at least the final layer (15) of coating material includes a multiplicity of silicate bodies (16) such as glass beads.
