SOLUTION: The polybenzoxazole and polybenzothiazole polymer or its random or block copolymers are expressed by the formulae, wherein Ar and Ar are 6 to 18C condensed or non-condensed aromatic or alicyclic groups, preferably phenylene, tolylene, biphenylene or biphenylene ether, Ar is 1,2,4,5-phenylene group, Z is O or S, and X is up to 12C, especially 2 to 6C straight-chain alkyl group or preferably a bivalent aromatic group same as Ar. The polymers preferably contain one or two or all of these units (i), (ii) and (iii).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a marked wear resistance and friction compared with a woven fabric by providing a uniform unwoven mesh structure because easily- abradable selvedges are not formed at an end in the longitudinal direction of cloth. SOLUTION: Immediately after a tape 13 which is formed newly is brought into contact with a part in which pins are applied, is it is exposed to heat and pressure conditions by a heat press roll 16, and a push-out object which is soft yet is pressed in a groove 17 which is nipped by pins. Threads included in the tape 13 are guided so that they are engaged with a groove in the direction of machine which is nipped by pins to surround the threads due to solidification of plastic matrix material and wrap them like a capsule. The plastic matrix material is thus pressed in a groove in the horizontal direction to form a constituent member which is communicated each other in the horizontal direction. A plastic tape which has a mesh structure and in which reinforced threads are stretched in the direction of machine therein is formed in this way. The reinforced threads are elongated in the direction of run of mesh. As a result, it is possible to prolong the usable time.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a doubly and flatly woven belt for a paper machine or the like, having a front layer of a plane fabric structure, and a back layer connected to the front layer by a connecting yarn and having warps for the back layer consisting of thin yarns, and having characteristics of hardly holding water. CONSTITUTION: This woven belt has a front layer 11 of a plane fabric, and a back layer 12 specified by a linear twill of 3/1. The warps 13 and the wefts 14 of the front layer are thin yarns having about 0.17 and 0.18 mm diameters, respectively. The warps of the woven belt layer at the roller side have diameters same as the warps at the front layer, and are present at the same numbers in both faces of the woven belt, and the wefts 16 have about 0.25 mm diameters. Weft-connecting yarns 17 conveniently present in two yarns per repetition of each pattern have about 0.12 mm diameters.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a cable having a jacket made of a thermoplastic composition which is fire retardant and contains no halogen element. CONSTITUTION: A cable 20 has a core 22 containing a transmission medium and a jacket system containing a plastic jacket 28. The plastic jacket 28 is made from a non-crosslinked composition containing elastomer, plastomer, and a filler. The elastomer and the plastomer contain no carboxyl group to be bonded to the filler. The composition makes the plastic jacket fire retardant and has mechanical properties enough to use the cable in various application. The plastic jacket material is also suitable for manufacturing a product such as a sheet and a tile.

The fabric is a microwave absorption fiber or yarn and may be a fiber or yarn containing a microwave-absorbing agent, for example, titania.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily seal or unseal an envelope, by providing a sealing and unsealing tape used in common provided with a cut line at the inside face of a turn-up flap and forming pressure-sensitive adhesive layers at both faces of the tape and sticking a release sheet on either face. SOLUTION: Tabs 20, 22 held by fingers on unsealing the envelope are provided at both ends of a flap 18. And a tape 26 for sealing and unsealing the envelope, used in common, is stuck close to a folding line 24 at the inside face of the turn-up flap 18. This tape 26 is a uniaxially orientated film 28 composed of a plurality of layers and both faces thereof are coated with an adhesive. The uppermost layer of the tape 26 is a release sheet 34 applied with silicone resin at both faces and stuck to the external adhesive layer 32. This sheet is peeled off just before the envelope is sealed. The flap 18 is stuck to the rear face sheet 12 by the adhesive layer 32. When unsealing it, either tab 20, 22 is held and pulled back in the longitudinal direction of the tape. And then, the tape 26 can be easily torn from either cut line 38, 40.
