Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily seal or unseal an envelope, by providing a sealing and unsealing tape used in common provided with a cut line at the inside face of a turn-up flap and forming pressure-sensitive adhesive layers at both faces of the tape and sticking a release sheet on either face. SOLUTION: Tabs 20, 22 held by fingers on unsealing the envelope are provided at both ends of a flap 18. And a tape 26 for sealing and unsealing the envelope, used in common, is stuck close to a folding line 24 at the inside face of the turn-up flap 18. This tape 26 is a uniaxially orientated film 28 composed of a plurality of layers and both faces thereof are coated with an adhesive. The uppermost layer of the tape 26 is a release sheet 34 applied with silicone resin at both faces and stuck to the external adhesive layer 32. This sheet is peeled off just before the envelope is sealed. The flap 18 is stuck to the rear face sheet 12 by the adhesive layer 32. When unsealing it, either tab 20, 22 is held and pulled back in the longitudinal direction of the tape. And then, the tape 26 can be easily torn from either cut line 38, 40.
