Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a pharmaceutical composition containing natural tuftsin or its analogue and capable of healing inflammation without exhibiting adverse effects. CONSTITUTION: This pharmaceutical composition comprises a compound of formula II (absolute configuration of carbon atom expressed by asterisk is L-configuration and absolute configuration of carbon atom of malonyl residue is L- or D-configuration) or a pharmaceutically permissible salt which is its base adduct or acid adduct. The compound is prepared in the dosage form suitable for oral or parenteral administration and the compound contains an active ingredient in an amount of 0.1-10mg per kg body weight even in any cases. The composition can heal even chronic inflammation by repeated administration or repeated coating, etc.
