    Abstract: A method for the optical determination of the pressure of a gaseous mixture i.e. atmospheric gases, by using a Nd:YAG laser to excite fluorescence in molecular methane, comprising the stages consisting: - of exciting in the infra-red range the molecules of gas of the said mixture, from a first vibrational level to a second vibrational level; - of measuring the duration of the fluorescence of a line of the emission spectrum of said gas from one of the rotational sub-levels of the second vibrational level to a rotational sub-level of a third vibrational level; and - of deducing from the said duration the pressure of the gaseous mixture.

    Abstract: Using a laser generator and by excitation of energy band transitions of molecular oxygen, the fluorescence of oxygen is caused, the intensities of the induced fluorescence in two different bands is measured, the ratio between these intensities is determined and the temperature is derived from this. Over a section of significant depth (c[ tau + tau ']/2), two absorption lines (R, R') are excited which at least overlap and which respectively belong to two different Schumann-Runge bands of oxygen. The transmission line (L) of the laser generator has a very small width in comparison with that of the absorption lines and its central frequency ( omega o/2 pi ) is adjusted to be substantially in the vicinity of the maxima of the two absorption lines (R, R'). … …

    Abstract: The micro-gyrometer is designed to detect rotation around a first direction (z). It includes a plate (1) which is orthogonal to the first direction, suspended w.r.t a fixed frame (8), and excited at its resonant frequency in a second direction (x) perpendicular to the first direction (z). Rotation around the direction (z) causes vibration of the plate in a third direction (y) orthogonal to the two others (x,z). The plate has teeth (9,10) extending in the second (x) and third (y) directions. These teeth engage without contact into slots (11,12) fixed to the frame (8). Each of the teeth supports a metal coatings, which form capacitors (Cx,Cy), w.r.t similar metal coatings on the slots (11,12).
