Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce an area and power consumption as compared with an existing frequency divider by using a frequency dividing cell for an IC. CONSTITUTION: This frequency dividing cell is provided with power units A1, D4, R9, a pair of control transistors(TRs) Q2, Q3 of which collectors and emitters are cross-connected to each other and a pair of storing TRs Q4, Q5 of which emitters are grounded. The cell is provided also with two diodes D1, D2 oppositely connected in series between respective collectors of the controlling TR pair Q2, Q3 and a command TR Q1 of which base acts as an input pin for the cell. Consequently the circuit can execute an operation similar to that of a circuit formed based on conventional technology and the number of constitutional parts and power consumption can be reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a method of discriminating the breakage of a stator phase signal wire from the breakage of a generator belt, in an automobile charging system. CONSTITUTION: A charge circuit defect detector circuit 80 for an automobile, which possesses a stator status existence detecting circuit 82 for judging that the stator status signal is at or under a specified threshold and a sham stator status signal generator 98 is provided. When the output voltage from the charge circuit is higher than the minimum voltage, the voltage-detecting circuit performs the application of the sham stator status signal continuously. The specified time to enable a voltage detector circuit, with the stator status signal being at or under the threshold, is clocked, and moreover a warning indicator gives it a warning in case that the sham status signal is applied and that the output voltage from a charging circuit is a minimum voltage or under.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a highly accurate high speed full-wave rectifier by providing a first current mirror circuit connected with the input terminal of an amplifier, and a second current mirror circuit connected with the output terminal of the amplifier. CONSTITUTION: A current bridge circuit 30 comprises first and second current mirror circuits 40, 50. An amplifier 20 has a negative input end 22 to be connected with the first terminal 34 of the current bridge circuit 30, a positive input end 24 to be connected with a reference voltage VREF, and an amplifier output end 26 to be connected with the second terminal 36 of the current bridge circuit 30. The full-wave rectifier 10 has a circuit input end 12 connected with the negative input end 22 through an input resistor RIN, and a circuit output end connected with the output end 32 of the current bridge circuit 30. Since two current mirror circuits are included, a highly accurate high speed full-wave rectifier can be realized.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To easily reduce the temperature dependency of a reference voltage by supplying a variable compensation current to a resistor means as a function of the temperature to bring about a voltage drop having a property practically opposite to the voltage drop in the operation area of a circuit. CONSTITUTION: Three resistors R2a to R2c are provided which are arranged in series and have one side connected to the emitter of a transistor TR Q2 and one terminal of a resistor R1 and have the other side earthed, and an NPN TR QR is included. A collector current IC of the TR QR is introduced to the resistor R2c to compensate the change of a reference voltage VREF. Thus, the temperature dependency of the reference voltage is easily reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a voltage multifier for multiplying an input voltage by a factor of 3 or more by providing each of the first and second voltage multiplying stages with a capacitor and an inverter, for controlling a reference potential on a capacitor and connecting the first and second voltage-multiplying stages through a rectifier, or the like, in order to sustain the voltage on the capacitor at each stage. CONSTITUTION: A switch 25 is closed under initial state through a timing control circuit 30 to bring signals IN1, IN2 into high state and a first capacitor 11 is charged with the voltage level of power supply input +5 V, while a second capacitor 12 is charged through a diode 15 with a voltage of about +4.3 V, which is equal to the power supply input +5 V minus the voltage drop of the diode 15. Subsequently, the switch 25 is opened and the signal IN1 is brought into a low state with a short time lag, and the voltage level at nodes x and y is raised, respectively, to +10 V and about +9.3 V. The signal IN2 is brought into low a state with a short time lag to obtain about +19.3 V at the node y and to set the charging level of a third capacitor 13 at about +18.6 V which is lower than +19.6 V by the voltage drop of a diode 16. The 18.6 V is outputted to a load 20 from a node z.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve voltage converting efficiency by increasing a stable load voltage and generating a switch control signal based on a current flowing via the increased stable load voltage and a switching means. CONSTITUTION: A switch 128 is turned ON with a pre-driver 138, and a counter electromotive force current generated with the counter electromotive force in a stator coil is made to flow via diodes 152, 154, 156. The counter electromotive force current is made to flow to the ground via the switch 128 and a detecting resistance 130. Whereby, the switch 128 is changed into the open state with the driver 138. Since the current within the stator coil can not instantly change, the counter electromotive force current is made to flow to the ground via a diode 124 and a capacitor 126. The voltage is increased crossing the capacitor 126 with the counter electromotive force current, and moreover the voltage in the capacitor is kicked up, i.e., increased with the counter electromotive force when the switch 128 is turned OFF with the inductance of the stator coil.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To compare voltage values between the polarities of two voltages showing the values of negative voltage by constituting a voltage comparison circuit with two NPN-type transistors and providing collectors for the bases which are mutually connected in differential cell forms and the input side of a driving circuit. CONSTITUTION: The emitters E9 and E10 of a pair of transistors T9 and T10 are connected to the polarities 5 and 6 of inputs so that the voltage values appearing between the polarities are compared. A bias current source 8, the transistor T3 and a current mirror 7 operate so that they bias the voltage comparison circuit 4 and the input stage 3 of a circuit 1. When voltage in the polarities 5 and 6 drop to negative voltage lower than ground voltage, the emitters E9 and E10 pull down voltage appearing in the bases B9 and B10 to the voltage value lower than ground voltage. Then, a parasitic diode existing between the collectors of the transistors T9 and T10 and a substrate is cut off.
