A liquid crystal display device is provided which comprises a liquid crystal panel in which a liquid crystal having a negative dielectric constant anisotropy is sandwiched between first and second substrates (91, 92), and at least one of said first and second substrates (91, 92) includes domain regulating means for regulating said liquid crystal to be oriented in a plurality of azimuths when a voltage is applied to said liquid crystal. The liquid crystal display device also comprises first and second polarizing plates (11, 15) placed both sides of said liquid crystal panel and at least one phase difference film (95), whose inplane dielectric constants n x and n y and dielectric constant n z in a direction of thickness thereof have the following relation: n x , n y ≥ n z (except n x = n y = n z ), which is placed in at least one of spaces between said liquid crystal panel and one of said first and second polarizing plates (11, 15) and between said liquid crystal panel and the other thereof.

A daylighting member includes a first daylighting section and a second daylighting section having different daylighting properties from the first daylighting section. The first daylighting section includes an optically transparent first substrate and a plurality of optically transparent daylighting portions provided on a first surface of the first substrate. The first daylighting section diffuses incoming light in a desired direction and emits the incoming light. The second daylighting section diffuses and emits the incoming light. The first daylighting section and the second daylighting section are placed side by side in a direction intersecting a direction in which the daylighting portions extend.

There is provided a lighting film (1) according to one aspect of the invention including: a first substrate (2) having optical transparency; a plurality of lighting units (3) formed of a plurality of polygonal prism-shaped structures having optical transparency provided on a first surface (2a) of the first substrate (2); and gaps (9) provided between the plurality of lighting units (3), in which the lighting unit (3) is a polygon which has five vertexes in a sectional shape orthogonal to a longitudinal direction and has all of internal angles smaller than 180°, the lighting unit includes a first side which is one side of the polygon corresponding to a surface contacted with the first substrate (2), and a plurality of vertexes including a first vertex and a second vertex which are vertexes corresponding to both ends of the first side and a third vertex which is not positioned on the first side, a length of a perpendicular line of the first side passing the third vertex is longer than a length of a perpendicular line of the first side passing a vertex other than the third vertex among the plurality of vertexes, and a shape of the lighting unit (3) is asymmetrical with a perpendicular line of the first side passing the third vertex as the center.
