Abstract: An apparatus for synthesis of peptides or the like organic compounds, in which transfer of the selected reagents into and out of a reaction vessel is conducted by utilizing vacuum and a pressurized inert gas under control of various valves. No liquid pumps are required. The sequential operation of the valves may be automatically controlled by a programmer.
