Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a surface plasmon resonance with ease, without using a fixer material which fixes a material to be measured on a metal thin-film surface of a sensor. SOLUTION: On an outside surface of a cell 2, an electrode 14 is provided at such position as faces a metal thin-film 6, and between the metal thin-film 6 and the electrode 14, a DC current 16 is so connected that the side of the metal thin-film 6 is plus pole. Within the cell 2, an electric field occurs between the metal thin-film 6 and the electrode 14, a to be measured material, which has a minus electric charge, contained in a sample liquid in the cell 2 is attracted toward the metal thin-film 6 by a coulomb force. Relating to an incident light 8a on an interface with the metal thin-film 6 which comes from a light source device 10 to condense in comb shape, the light at a specific angle among the incident light 8a is subjected to absorption when the material in the sample liquid in the cell 2 approaches the metal thin-film 6 due to the electric field, thus such incident angle as was subjected to the absorption in a reflection light 8b detected with a detector 12 is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure a very small amount of a specimen while shortening the length of a flow passage, by a method wherein a measuring electrode and a reference electrode are arranged in opposed relation to the flow passage to constitute a measuring electrode body which is, in turn, moved to a specimen container to suck the specimen by a nozzle. CONSTITUTION:For example, ion measuring electrodes 1b, 2b, 3b responding to a Na-ion, a K-ion and a Cl-ion and a reference electrode 4 are arranged in series and flow passages 1a, 2a, 3a, 4a are formed in opposed relation thereto from one end toward the other end to constitute a measuring electrode body 5. A container body 7 and a specimen container C are provided below the measuring electrode body 5 and the container body 7 is allowed to fall to be contacted with the specimen container C. Next, the measuring electrode body 5 is allowed to fall and a nozzle 6 is allowed to pierce through the container body 7 to suck a specimen. When the specimen flows through the flow passages 1a, 2a, 3a, 4a, the potential differences between the measuring electrodes 1b, 2b, 3b and the reference electrode 4 are detected to measure the concns. of the ions. Since the measuring electrode body is moved with respect to the specimen container to shorten the length of the flow passages, the electrolyte in a very small amount of the specimen can be measured.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease considerably the consumption of an enzyme reagent by immobilizing respectively acetylcholine oxidase and choline oxidase and packing the same into columns. CONSTITUTION:An antiphase column 1 is connected at one end to a carrier liquid feeder 3 via an injector 2 and a guard cell 8 and is connected at the other end to a buffer soln. feeder 5, an immobilized enzyme column group 6 and a detection cell 7 via a branch pipe. The column group 6 is cascade- connected, from the upper stream, with the 1st column 6a contg. the immobilized acetylcholine oxidase and the 2nd column 6b contg. immobilized choline oxidase via a mixing coil 6c. The acetylcholine oxidase and choline oxidase are respectively immobilized and are packed into the columns in the above-mentioned manner, by which the consumption of the enzyme reagent is considerably decreased, the cost of the analysis is reduced and the control of the enzyme reagent is made easy.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an enzymatic reagent for glucose analysis, storable for a long period without causing the lowering of the titer, by incorporating a glucose oxidase-containing aqueous solution with an agent for suppressing the proliferation of bacteria at a concentration uninfluential to the enzymatic reaction. CONSTITUTION:The objective reagent is produced by adding an agent for suppressing the proliferation of bacterial (e.g. hypochlorous acid, hexachlorophene, etc.) at a concentration uninfluential to the enzymatic reaction, to an aqueous solution containing glucose oxidase. EFFECT:An accurate analysis can be carried out since the proliferation of sundry germs is prevented even in the piping of the analyzer.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the wasteful consumption of a specimen by shortening a specimen suction pipe, by linearly arranging the specimen suction pipe by making a measuring part and an automatic sampler relatively movable in an up-and- down direction. CONSTITUTION:A motor 2 is rotated and light measuring apparatus 1 and a specimen suction pipe 1e are integrally fallen by a screw lever 3. When the suction pipe 1e is immersed in a specimen container 7 and a liquid level is detected by a liquid level detector, the motor 2 is stopped and a pump 5 is operated to suck the specimen into a flow cell 1c from the suction pipe 1e. At the point of time when suction is finished, the motor 2 is rotated reversely to draw up the suction pipe 1e and a sample holder 6b is rotated by one step and the next specimen container is moved to the position under the suction pipe 1e.

SOLUTION: Only distribution image data on an organismic tissue is extracted by removing an image component by shade and shadow from plural wave length image data detected by a two-dimensional detector to obtain a clear distibution image. A first mode forms reference image data having only shade/shadow information on a subject, corrects measuring image data by this reference image data, and takes out only object distribution image data. A second mode measures the subject in the plural image pickup directions or the illuminating direction, and calculates the distribution image data by correcting a shade/ shadow component by reconstituting obtained plural image data.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To automatically switch measurement modes and to prevent the generation of a carry-over by automatically deciding the kind of a sample. CONSTITUTION:The absorbance of the sample is measured by a colorimeter 8 if the sample 2 is sucked via a sample introducing pipe 6 into the meter. The absorbance is preset at the wavelength to measure the protein in the sample and, therefore, a sample measuring section 22 decides whether the sample is blood or urine from the concn. quantity of the protein in accordance with the measurement result of the colorimeter 8. A selector valve 10 is set at the sample introducing pipe 12 side to introduce the sample directly to an ion electrode 4 via a control circuit 24 if the sample is the blood. On the other hand, the selector valve 10 is selected to the sample introducing pipe 14 side and a pump 20 is operated to introduce a diluting liquid 18 into the meter to dilute the sample with a mixing coil 16 when the sample is decided to be urine; thereafter, the sample is introduced to the ion electrode 4. The urine and the blood, etc., are arbitrarily and automatically measured and the generation of the carry-over is obviated.
