Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a method for collecting highly accurate data for diagnosis, useful in diagnosing the presence or absence of extrahepatic bile duct carcinoma, intrahepatic bile duct carcinoma, or gallbladder carcinoma, and a kit for diagnosis. When the concentration of CEACAM1 in a blood sample collected from a test subject is detected using a kit for diagnosis comprising an antibody specifically binding to CEACAM1 or a labeled product thereof, or the like and the CEACAM1 concentration is higher than the concentration of CEACAM1 in a blood sample derived from a non-carcinoma control subject or higher than a certain threshold value (cutoff value), data can be collected for diagnosing the test subject as having a high possibility of having extrahepatic bile duct carcinoma, intrahepatic bile duct carcinoma, or gallbladder carcinoma.
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for collecting highly accurate diagnostic data and a diagnostic kit, both of which are useful for the diagnosis of the occurrence of extrahepatic bile duct cancer, intrahepatic bile duct cancer or gallbladder cancer. The concentration of CEACAM1 in a blood sample collected from a subject is detected using a diagnostic kit including an antibody capable of binding specifically to CEACAM1 or a labeled product of the antibody or the like, whereby it becomes possible to obtain data from which it is diagnosed that a subject is highly probably suffering from extrahepatic bile duct cancer, intrahepatic bile duct cancer or gallbladder cancer when the concentration of CEACAM1 is higher than that in a blood sample from a normal person or is higher than a given threshold value (cut-off value).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a similar sentence retrieval program for allowing a user to accurately and flexibly retrieve a similar sentence based on the position and context of a word in a sentence inputted by the user without taking account of a keyword. SOLUTION: The computer program for retrieving a sentence similar to an inputted sentence, includes the following steps: of morphologically analyzing the inputted sentence to determine clauses, and analyzing modification for each of the clauses (S230, S240), arranging the clauses in appearance order, and if a clause having no verb or modified word appears, generating a compound word, which includes a verb/clause and grouping all the clauses appearing before the clause having no verb or modified word (S250), recording the compound word in association with the inputted sentence in a sentence database (S260), generating, when a new arbitrary original sentence is inputted, a compound word, and based on the compound word obtained for the original sentence, retrieving a sentence including the compound word from the sentence database. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining presence or absence of medullary thyroid cancer, which can specifically detect medullary thyroid cancer.SOLUTION: A method for determining presence or absence of medullary thyroid cancer uses a method having a process (a) for detecting expression of a splicing variant of CEACAM4 gene such as a cDNA composed of a specific base sequence in a sample for determination or the splicing variant such as a protein composed of an amino acid sequence encoded by the base sequence, etc., and a process (b) for evaluating that possibility of a sample donor for determination having medullary thyroid cancer is high when the expression of the splicing variant of CEACAM4 gene or a protein encoded by the splicing variant is detected in the process (a).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To register a case image so that the deviation of featured values can be prevented from being generated in a case image included in the database of a similar image retrieval system for image diagnosis. SOLUTION: Since the registration of the case images to the database is controlled according to the degree of similarity of featured values, it is possible to reduce such possibility that many similar case images appear as retrieval results, and that similar retrieval results disturbing the diagnosis of a person to be diagnosed are shown.
