Abstract: An assay for detecting a detectable species comprising forming a complex between an analyte and a capture species, wherein said capture species is immobilized on a magnetic particle; contacting said complex with a detectable species which specifically binds to said analyte thereby forming an immobilized complex; transferring said immobilized complex to another vessel free of said detectable species; eluting said detectable species from said immobilized complex and detecting said detectable species. Also claimed is a dataset from an assay comprising at least one data point corresponding to a signal from an analyte collected from an assay.
