Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain conformity to especially narrow dimensional tolerance in manufacturing of a profiled rolling material at a relatively low manufacturing cost, in an operation method for a rolling path. SOLUTION: By comparing a measured profile (54) of the rolling material in process with a target profile, then based on a deviation of a measured profile from the target profile, modified target values (Ki ) in relation with weight factors (Wi ) inherent to each stand are replaced with the target values (SW) for entire rolling stands or each stand (4, 6, 8).

Preferred Features: The tension element (6) is adjusted on the rolled material section using a hydraulic cylinder (7). The actual adjusting force (F) is maintained constantly the same as the theoretical adjusting force (F asterisk ) and only the actual deviation (z) is variable.

Abstract: Roll gaps (s3-s10) of the active roll stands (3-10) are adjusted via hydraulic cylinder units (12) which are controlled by roll gap regulators (13) by whose frame springs of the active roll stands are compensated into fractions. The fractions are separately adjusted for each roll stand. Mill train has active roll stands operating in pairs and being adjustable to roll gaps. The rolled material (11) can be rolled to a final height (h) and a vertical final width (b) by applying rolling forces (F3-F10). Roll gaps (s3-s10) of the active roll stands (3-10) are adjusted via hydraulic cylinder units (12) which are controlled by roll gap regulators (13) by whose frame springs of the active roll stands are compensated into fractions. The fractions are separately adjusted for each roll stand.
