    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a mold or continuous casting operation in a continuous casting method and its apparatus. SOLUTION: In a thermal control method for a copper plate facing to steel of a continuous casting mold regarding different casting speeds, different copper plate thickness, different casting sizes, different water amount and different water pressure respectively, the method is characterized in that selectable mold cooling water temperature at an outlet of the mold is constantly maintained unrelated to a casting speed. Temperature of the outlet of the mold is measured and controlled by a two way type valve having a short pipe between the outlet of the mold and an inlet of the mold and a bifurcated pipe providing for partial amount of the cooling water from the outlet of the mold to a heat exchanger. Hot cooling water at the outlet of the mold is mixed with cooled water at the outlet of the mold, and cooling water amount and pressure of at the outlet of the mold, in which cooling water temperature is controlled dependent on casting condition, is also controlled. Then, molding cooling water at the outlet of the mold is circulated through the mold by a pump station so as to maintain constant temperature.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for oscillating a continuous-casting mould by means of vertically alternating movements in or against the direction of casting, the stroke and frequency of the oscillation being parameters which can be set in accordance with casting speed. If the mould presents a forward slip in relation to the strand, that is the so-called negative strip, liquid and/or solid casting material is drawn into the gap between mould and strand. By uncoupling the linear relation between casting speed and the oscillation parameters stroke/frequency the parameters are varied insofar as with increasing casting speed acceleration of the moving system is reduced overall by way of a relative decrease in frequency and relative increase in stroke.

    Abstract: La invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para la oscilacion de una colada de coquilla continuo o en cuerda por medio de movimientos alternantes verticales y/o en contra de la direccion de colada, la altura y frecuencia de la oscilacion son parametros que pueden establecerse con la velocidad de colada. Si la coquilla presenta una relacion de adelanto en velocidad de la coquilla con respecto a la cuerda, la llamada tira negativa el medio de colada liquido y/o solido se introduce en el espacio o escotadura entre la coquilla y la cuerda. Al desacoplar la relacion lineal entre la velocidad de colada y el parametro de oscilacion, elevacion, frecuencia se consigue una variacion del parametro en el sentido de que con una velocidad ascendente se disminuye en conjunto la aceleracion del sistema movido por la disminucion relativa de frecuencia con un empuje o altura agrandado.
