Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Erweiterung des Einsatzes einer Aufwikkel- und Abwickelstation (Coilbox) zwischen Vorstraße und Fertigstraße für gewalztes Bandmaterial in Warmwalzwerken. Die Erweiterung des Einsatzes der Coilbox wird dadurch erreicht, daß zur Behandlung kleinerer Bundgewichte in einer dornlosen Coilbox dem abzuwickelnden Coil eine zum Rollengang (4) gerichtete Andrückkraft (F) aufgezwungen wird und/oder das Coil in eine Rollgangssenke gelegt wird, und/oder daß zur Erhöhung des Materialdurchsatzes insbesondere mit mittleren Bundgewichten bei einer dornlosen Coilbox der Aktivtransfer und der Passivtransfer eines Coils von einer ersten Wickelstation zu einer zweiten Wickelstation zeitlich und gewichtsmäßig miteinander kombiniert werden, und/oder daß zur variablen Erhöhung und Vergleichsmäßigung der Bandtemperatur vor oder hinter der dornlosen Coilbox dem Band Wärme zugeführt wird und/oder Band bzw. Coilbox wärmeisoliert werden. Die Erfindung betrifft auch eine entsprechende ausgestaltete Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens.

Eine Coilbox, die zwischen Vor- und Fertigwalzstrassen angeordnet ist, für Vorband-Metall-, insbesondere -Strahlbänder, die zu Bunden warm gewickelt und mittels Hitzeschild-Einrichtungen (7) an den Coil-Stirnflächen (5a; 5b) im Bereich einer Auf- und/oder Abwickelstation (6) vor weiterer Abkühlung geschützt sind, kann universell gestaltet werden, indem die Hitzeschild-Einrichtungen (7) aus schwenkbar an die Coil-Stirnflächen (5a, 5b) anstellbaren Seitenwänden (8a; 8b) gebildet und in einem gebildeten Paar sich gegenüberliegende Hitzeschild-Einrichtungen (7) auf unterschiedliche Coil-Breiten (5c) parallel einstellbar sind.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Entfernen von losem Zunder von der Oberfläche einer Bramme, insbesondere einer Dünnbramme einer Mini-Mill. Eine solche Mini-Mill umfasst zumindest eine Brammengiessmaschine, eine Brammentrennvorrichtung, einen Temperaturausgleichsofen und ein oder mehrere Walzgerüste mit Haspelanlage. Eine solche Vorrichtung wird dadurch verbessert, dass eine Abspritzvorrichtung 11 mindestens je ein relativ zur Bramme 1 unteres Spritzrohr 2 und mindestens ein oberes Spritzrohr 3 umfasst, wobei jedes Spritzrohr mit einer Anzahl von Spritzdüsen 4 bestückt ist. Die Abspritzvorrichtung 11 ist vor dem Rollenherdofen 5 der Mini-Mill angeordnet und ist an eine Zuführung 6 für Wasser mit technologisch erforderlichem Druck und mit einem entsprechend der Anzahl der Spritzdüsen 4 bemessenem Volumenstrom angeschlossen. Die Erfindung betrifft auch ein Betriebsverfahren für die Abspritzvorrichtung 11.

The invention relates to a method for expanding the use of a coiling and uncoiling station (coilbox) located between the roughing train and the finishing train for rolled strip material in hot-rolling mills. The use of said coilbox is expanded by impinging the coil that is to be uncoiled with a pressing force (F) which acts in the direction of the roller table (4) and/or placing the coil in a depression of the roller table in order to process smaller coil weights in a spikeless coilbox, and/or by combining, in a chronological and weight-related manner, the active transfer and passive transfer of a coil from a first coiling station to a second coiling station in order to increase the throughput especially at average coil weights in a spikeless coilbox, and/or by supplying heat to the strip upstream or downstream of the spikeless coilbox and/or thermally insulating the strip or the coilbox in order to variably increase and homogenize the strip temperature. The invention further relates to a correspondingly equipped device for carrying out said method.

The invention relates to a coil box, which is mounted between a roughing rolling train and a finishing rolling train, for metal pre-strips, in particular steel strips, which are hot wound to form coils and are protected against further cooling in the vicinity of a winding and/or unwinding station (6) by means of heat-shield devices (7) on the front faces (5a; 5b) of the coils. The aim of the invention is to universally configure said coil box. To achieve this, the heat-shield devices (7) are configured from lateral walls (8a; 8b) that can be pivoted to rest against the front faces (5a, 5b) of the coils and a pair of opposing heat-shield devices (7) can be aligned in parallel to different coil widths (5c).

The invention relates to a device for removing loose cinder from the surface of a slab, especially a thin slab of a mini mill. One such mini mill comprises at least one slab casting machine, a slab separating device, a thermal compensation furnace and at least one roll stand comprising a reeling installation. The inventive device is improved in that a spray device (11) comprises at least one lower spray pipe (2) and at least one upper spray pipe (3) in relation to the slab (1), each spray pipe being fitted with a number of spray nozzles (4). Said spray device (11) is arranged in front of the roller hearth furnace (5) of the mini mill and is connected to a water supply (6) having the technologically required pressure and a volume flow which is adapted to the number of spray nozzles (4). The invention also relates to an operating method for the spray device (11).

Disclosed is a method for removing loose scale and other foreign matter from the top and/or bottom face of a cast product (3), such as a slab, thin slab, profiled element, or similar, with the aid of flowable media which are sprayed onto the cast product (3) by means of a cleaning device (5) comprising at least one spraying apparatus (8, 9) that is disposed above the cast product (3) and at least one spraying apparatus (8, 9) that is arranged below the cast product (3). According to said method, the amount of media and/or the effective width and/or the pressure of the media is/are controlled separately and independently of time for each spraying apparatus (8, 9). The invention also relates to a device for removing loose scale and other foreign matter from the top and/or bottom face of a cast product (3) with the aid of flowable media which are sprayed onto the cast product (3) by means of a cleaning device (5) comprising at least one spraying apparatus (8, 9) located above the cast product (3) and at least one spraying apparatus (8, 9) located below the cast product (3).
