    Abstract: A washing blade, a manufacturing method thereof, and a washing device for a liquid discharging head are provided to compensate flatness and rigidity of a tip end portion over entire length, and to achieve mounting accuracy thereof. A washing blade consists of a supporting plate(44) and a wiping unit(43). The supporting plate is coated with an adhesive agent layer at a front surface. The wiping unit is contacted with a liquid discharging area and slid. The wiping unit is formed by a single piece of an elastic unit(57) made of a synthetic resin, at the adhesive agent layer. A tip end portion is cut at a predetermined shape. A manufacturing method of the washing blade includes a step of cutting the tip end portion of the elastic unit at the predetermined shape to form the wiping unit. A washing device for a liquid discharging head comprises the liquid discharging head, the washing blade, a moving mechanism, and a switching member. The liquid discharging head is formed with the liquid discharging area to discharge liquid from by a liquid discharging nozzle. The washing blade is contacted with the liquid discharging area and slid, to clean the liquid discharging area. The moving mechanism is used to move the washing blade to the liquid discharging head. The switching member is used to move the washing blade inversely from a sliding position for the washing blade when moving the washing blade to one side surface of the liquid discharging head by the moving mechanism, and to return the washing blade from the sliding position when moving the washing blade to the other side surface of the liquid discharging head by the moving mechanism.

    Abstract: An inkjet head includes a head cap for protecting an ink discharge surface of a print head and a cleaning roller for cleaning the ink discharge surface of the print head. The head cap moves relative to and is removably mounted to the print head including the ink discharge surface with an ink discharge hole for discharging ink supplied from an ink cartridge. The cleaning roller is provided at a print head side of the head cap in the longitudinal direction of the print head. By virtue of this structure, it is possible to reduce the size of a printer body. The invention aims at reducing the size of the printer body by providing the cleaning member at the head cap for protecting the ink discharge surface.
