A printer prints both image information and additional character information superimposed on the image. The printer comprises an additional character information generation circuit (18, 13), a display circuit (30) for displaying the additional character information generated by the additional character information generation circuit (18, 13), and a selecting circuit (19) for selecting characters and/or symbols in the additional character information. A plurality of additional character information symbols and/or characters are displayed on a display unit (30) for selection purposes.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor provided with a convenient interface for starting an application related to institution information and a database without time and labor at the side of a user. SOLUTION: An HTML analyzer 212 analyzes an HTML document read by an HTML browser 201. A group analyzer 213 makes a character string extracted by the HTML analyzer 212 into a group. An HTML re-constituting unit 214 corrects display in the HTML document based on the character string which is made into a group by the group analyzer 213. A controller 211 starts the application 202, for example, in response to an action requested from a user after the HTML document corrected by the re-constituting unit 214 is displayed on a display screen.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enter a caption with a simple key operation by utilizing the display of a monitor connected to the printer. SOLUTION: An RGB signal, a luminance signal Y, a chrominance signal C and a composite color video signal are selected by an input changeover switch 2, and the selected signal is entered. The entered signal is fed to a switching circuit 7 and a frame memory 8 via an A/D converter 6. The frame memory 8 stores the data of one frame to be printed. Signals (data) from the switch circuit 7 are fed to a mixer 10 via a D/A converter 9. The mixer 19 superimposes a character display signal fed from a character display circuit 11 and a signal from the switching circuit 7. A mode changeover switch 3 selects between a mode that leads the input signal to output terminals 4A, 4B, 4C, without making modifications or a mode that leads an output signal of the mixer 10 to the output terminals.

PURPOSE:To maintain energy to be introduced into an ink ribbon and a printing sheet constant and to prevent printing density from varying by detecting the temperature of a thermal head and the temperature in a housing, and controlling supply power to the thermal head on the basis of both the detection outputs. CONSTITUTION:Since both thermistors 42 and 43 have negative temperature coefficient characteristics, when the temperature of a thermal head is raised, a voltage of a connecting midpoint P is lowered, and the output voltage of an operational amplifier 44A is also lowered. Thus, the gain of a drive amplifier 41 is reduced, the amplitude of a PWM current supplied to the thermal head is reduced, and the temperature of the thermal head is lowered. When the temperature in a cabinet is raised, the voltage of a connecting mid point Q is raised, and the output voltage of the operational amplifier 44A is lowered. Thus, the gain of the drive amplifier 41 is reduced, the amplitude of the PWM current supplied to the thermal head is reduced. That is, the energy to be introduced into the thermal head is reduced to prevent printing density from varying.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map to a peruser to make geographical features easily grasped when an address or a phone number of a facility is described, even when an information provider describes preliminarily no setup for displaying a map image in a text document of a prescribed form. SOLUTION: An HTML analyzer 211 starts an analysis loop for an HTML document under perusal, and exracts a positional information character sequence proposed as the address or the phone number from the HTML document. A spot searcher 212 calculates a longitude and a latitude of the spot from the positional information character sequence received via a controller 217, using a spot information database 213, and transmits it to a map image generator 214 via the controller 217. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain miniaturization and thin profile by surely preventing radiation of a high frequency electromagnetic wave without the need for a shield member. SOLUTION: S digital board 36 of a circuit section is fixed to a metal-made frame 12 of a mechanism deck section by using a conductive machine screw 41. Then the digital board 36 forms a space 42 with respect to the metal-made frame 12 while being fixed with the metal-made frame 12. An electronic element group 45 to generate a high frequency electromagnetic wave is mounted to the space 42. When the electronic element group 45 arranged to the space 42 generates the high frequency electromagnetic wave, the electromagnetic wave is shielded by the metal-made frame 12 and not radiated externally.

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the picture quality to be stored by an erroneous operation and the output of the picture by storing picture data in a frame mode in the area allocated to each screen of a storage means. CONSTITUTION:When a user selects the printing of a moving picture to be displayed on a monitor 2 in a four division mode, a CPU 8 discriminates the split mode is selected by a full-sized mode/split mode switching key 9A. In case the user selects the frame memory mode by a switching key 9E, the selected picture is stored in the frame memory 4 in the frame memory mode. When all the pictures are stored in the memory 4, the CPU 8 switches the output of a switching circuit 6 to the memory 4 side to be displayed on the monitor 2. When the printing of the four screens is directed with the print key 9C depressed, the picture is printed on the printing paper in the frame print mode.

PURPOSE:To avoid the color deviation between the two colors to be printed first and the color to be printed second and later, by controlling the device concerned not to perform printing action during the period from the time when the paper feeding is started until the leading end and the rear end of the printing paper overlap each other on a platen, CONSTITUTION:When a paper 2 for printing is fed, one end thereof hits against the rear surface of the paper at a part in the vicinity thereof, and when the platen makes another turn, the two ends of the paper 2 to be printed are wound around the platen in the state that the two ends of the paper overlap each other and fixed. Keeping this overlaped state, after the position where the leading end and its vicinity arrive at the position of a thermal head 9, the printing of yellow color, the first color to be printed is started. During this printing action, the three elements, i.e., the platen 1, the printing paper 2, and the ink ribbon 5 rotate in one body. In other words, in order to make the two ends of the printing paper overlap each other completely, the printing paper 2 is rotated in advance by one turn, and after that, the printing action of yellow color, i.e.,the first color to be printed, is commenced.
