PURPOSE:To improve a work precision, and achieve a long life of a machining tool of a grindwheel in a grooving work or a mirror surface work performed in manufacturing a magnetic head, for example, requiring a high precision. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic vibrator 11 for giving an ultrasonic vibration to a work W in its advancing direction is provided holding the work W at an upper surface at a front surface of a slide table 6 freely movable to slide back and forth to a base 1 in the perpendicular direction to the axis of a rotary main shaft 9 where a peripheral cutting edge grindwheel 10 is installed by a slide mechanism comprising a V-shaped guide surface (a) of the base 1 and a feed screw 4.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide method and apparatus for positioning a work accurately at a predetermined positron on a reference plane in which positional shift can be detected instantaneously. CONSTITUTION:The work positioning apparatus comprises three reference pins 12, 13, 14 projecting upward from predetermined positions on a reference plane 11a, a fixing means 15 supported movably up and down above the reference plane 11a, means 16 for driving the fixing means 15 up and down, and a control circuit for detecting electrical conduction between three reference pins and operating the driving means 16.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten a working time while preventing a workpiece from chipping by forming a plurality of fine through holes in a side surface peripheral part of a rotary grinding wheel, so that a temperature rise of the grinding wheel and the workpiece can be relaxed. CONSTITUTION:This grinding wheel 1 fixed to a flange 3 of a rotary shaft of a motor is formed into a doughnut type disk shape, and a plurality of fine through holes 2 are formed over the total periphery in the vicinity of a side surface peripheral part of the grinding wheel. By rotating this grinding wheel 1 at a high speed in the clockwise direction Y and also by moving an X-axis table 10 in an X direction while injecting grinding water from a jet port 4A of a pair of nozzles 4, a workpiece W is ground to be cut by the grinding wheel 1. Here, since grinding water 5, accumulated in the through hole 2 of the grinding wheel 1, not only cools the grinding wheel 1 itself but also advances one after another into a cut part of the workpiece W, to also cool a cut surface, discharging cutting chips to the outside can be smoothed while maintaining sharpness improved of the grinding wheel 1.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress displacement (curving) of a nozzle array formed on a nozzle sheet of a printer head. SOLUTION: In the inkjet printer head provided with the nozzle sheet where a plurality of nozzles 18 for discharging ink liquid drops are formed, a head frame for supporting the nozzle sheet through bonding of the nozzle sheet thereto, and a substrate member which has a heating resistor for heating ink when ink liquid drops are discharged from nozzles 18 and which is bonded to the nozzle sheet, the head frame and the substrate member have nearly equal coefficients of linear expansion, and the nozzle sheet has a coefficient of linear expansion larger than that of the head frame and the substrate member. An opening 19 is formed in the nozzle sheet for exposing electrodes of the substrate member to join the electrodes. Abstract:
PURPOSE:To grind with high dimensional accuracy by adjusting the attitude of a work basing on a detected result by an optical unit. CONSTITUTION:A circular arc surface is ground by providing a rocking mechanism 7 on a table 6 for driving and controlling a numerical control machine 1 with a main control part 10. After preliminarily grinding the work W with a cup shape grinding wheel, the size between both end surfaces of the work is detected by the optical unit 11. The detected information is processed by an image processing part 16, and the data are compared with a setting amt. by a sub control part 17, and the attitude of the work W is adjusted by a driving circuit part 18. After the adjustment is performed, the main grinding is executed. The above-mentioned detectio adjustment are executed even on the halfway of the main grinding.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head which can control a thermal efficiency and responsiveness accurately and is excellent in the productivity and reliability, and a method for manufacturing the thermal head. SOLUTION: In the thermal head 40, the strength is improved by joining a support member 50W to other surface of a substrate 41W after forming a gap part 48 inside a protrusion 42 formed in one surface of the substrate 41W. While forming an exothermic part 43a on the protrusion 42 and making it to be individual piece, an radiator 47 is adhered to the support member 50. Thereby, the gap part is worked without suffering the influence of the camber of the substrate caused by the diaphragm stress of various functional diaphragms which compose the exothermic part by forming the gap part inside the protrusion after forming the exothermic part on the protrusion of the substrate. Thereby, the thickness control of the exothermic part can be performed accurately by suppressing the working unevenness of the gap part, and then the thermal efficiency and responsiveness become controllable. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarized beam converting element and its manufacturing method that make it possible to manufacture a polarized light separating film capable of reducing a frequency of lamination by applying a relatively inexpensive light-transmissive base material and also manufacture a large-area through simple processes for the manufacture. SOLUTION: On main surfaces 1A and 2A of 1st and 2nd light-transmissive base materials 1 and 2, slanting parts which are sectioned in a nearly triangular shape are arrayed side by side at specified intervals so that their oblique surfaces face in the same direction, and polarized light separating films 3 are formed on those oblique surfaces; and base parts 11 which are cut and raised almost at right angles to the main surface are provided on light-transmissive base material sides of the oblique surfaces, the light-transmissive base materials are put one over the other across light-transmissive resin 4 so that the oblique surfaces 10 and 20 face each other, and light blocking parts 5 and 1/2-wavelength plates 6 are respectively provided on reverse surfaces 1B and 2B of the light-transmissive base materials 1 and 2 at positions corresponding to the slanting parts. Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of a film thickness and etching rate with a sputtering device. CONSTITUTION: The high-frequency component to be superposed on a high-frequency voltage is detected by higher harmonic detecting means 12, 13 to detect a discharge detection signal when this high-frequency voltage is applied between a target 14 and a substrate, by which the start of an electric discharge is surely detected and, therefore, the accuracy of the film thickness and the accuracy of the etching rate are exceedingly improved.

SOLUTION: Inclined planes 11a and 11b facing each other while inclining in different directions are repeatedly and alternatively formed from the incident side surface 1A of a transparent base material 1(11 and 12) to the rear side 1B, and a polarized light separation film 2 is formed on the inclined planes 11a and 11b, and also, at least a quarter wavelength plate 3 and a reflection film 4 are arranged on the incident side surface 1A of the transparent base material 1 so as to be alternately positioned corresponding to a pair of adjacent inclined planes mutually facing in the opposite direction.
