To provide a control device and recording medium whereby an action function can be associated virtually with a prescribed region of an entity object. [Solution] A control device provided with the following: a detection unit that detects as an action region at least part of an entity object located at a position at which it is estimated that a user could perform an action; a function setting unit that performs a setting operation in which a prescribed function is associated with the action region detected by the detection unit; and a control unit that on the basis of the positional relationship between the action region and an action body executes the function associated with said action region.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve authentication processing of a user wearing a sensor on his/her head or face using easy and inexpensive means.SOLUTION: An action input section 601 detects user's gazing position and/or a movement of gazing point using an inside camera oriented to user's face or a myoelectric sensor or an ocular sensor which detect user's myoelectric potential or ocular potential in contact with user's head or face. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface that displays information required by a user overlapped on an attention area to which the user pays attention in their field of view, as if the information has been already present in their field of view.SOLUTION: When a user sees an English menu over a video display device 1, the video display device 1 specifies English words and sentences written on the menu that are seen by the user as an attention area. The video display device 1 determines to translate the words and sentences into Japanese on the basis of user information, then automatically translate the English words "Spinach Salad" in the attention area into Japanese words "Hourensou Sarada", and displays the translated Japanese words overlapped on the attention area "Spinach Salad" in their field of view before the translation.
