    Abstract: A battery capacity calculation methods includes a reference discharge curve calculation step for obtaining a discharge curve as a reference, a correction voltage calculation step for correcting the battery measurement voltage (V1) by a battery resistance component so as to obtain a corrected voltage (V), and a capacity calculation step for calculating the battery discharge capacity from the discharge curve serving as the reference by using the corrected voltage (V). The capacity calculation step has a deterioration index calculation step for calculating a capacity deterioration index (S) as a capacity reduction ratio attributed to battery deterioration. The discharge capacity calculated from the discharge curve as the reference by using the corrected voltage (V) is further multiplied by the capacity deterioration index (S), thereby calculating a discharge capacity.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely calculate the remaining capacity of a battery regardless of its deteriorated state and measuring conditions.
    SOLUTION: A method has a reference discharge curve calculating process for finding a reference discharge curve, a corrected voltage calculating process for finding a corrected voltage V by correcting a measured voltage V1 of the battery with its resistance component, and a capacity calculating process for calculating a discharged capacity from the reference discharge curve by using the corrected voltage V. The capacity calculating process has a deterioration index calculating process for calculating a capacity deterioration index S being a reduction ratio of the capacity caused by the deterioration of the battery. It is favorable that the discharged capacity should be calculated by multiplying the discharged capacity computed from the reference discharge curve by using the corrected voltage V, with the deterioration index S in addition.
