Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that a blocking film for blocking a communication hole is unforgettably peeled. SOLUTION: This liquid cartridge 1 is used as a liquid supply source in a liquid i discharge device 21 for discharging a liquid i. In addition, the liquid cartridge 1 comprises the following members: a cartridge main body 2 which is detachably fitted to a fitting part 32 of the liquid discharge device 21 and internally filled with the liquid i, an atmospheric communication hole 5 which is opened in the outer surface 2b of the cartridge main body 2 and makes the interior of the cartridge main body 2 communicate with its exterior, the blocking film 8 which can be releasably attached to the outer surface 2b of the cartridge main body 2 so as to block the communication hole 5, and a communication hole unsealing member 12 which is fitted to the cartridge main body 2 with the blocking film 8 integrally attached and removed together with the blocking film 8 from the cartridge main body 2 when the cartridge main body 2 is fitted to the fitting part 32. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain miniaturization and cost reduction by a simple structure, and to detect a liquid cartridge state of loading. SOLUTION: A liquid cartridge loading detecting mechanism 15 which detects the liquid cartridge 12 state of loading is provided at an intersection of a plurality of liquid cartridge loading parts 21. The liquid cartridge loading detecting mechanism 15 is equipped with: a switch means 36; and a detecting member 32 which has cam parts 39 each projecting to the liquid cartridge loading part 21. While the liquid cartridges 12 are loaded in all of the liquid cartridge loading parts 21, all of the detecting members 32 operate, whereby the switch means 36 operates and outputs a detection signal. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain miniaturization and cost reduction by a simple structure, and to prevent liquid leakage from occurring. SOLUTION: An ink pack 67 has a shape nearly like a spindle as a whole. A center part expands by sealing an ink liquid inside. A thickness is gradually decreased towards a heat seal part 91 along the periphery. The ink pack 67 loaded in a cartridge case 65 which has an inner face of a pack loading space formed into a curved face with a curvature almost equal to that of the outer peripheral face of the nearly spindle-shaped ink pack 67, has its outer peripheral face pressed approximately all over by an inner peripheral face of the pack loading space. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain miniaturization and cost reduction by a simple structure, to improve the operability, and to prevent liquid leakage from occurring. SOLUTION: A tank cap member 70 integrated with an ink pack 67 is integrated with a cartridge case 65, thereby constituting a loading member to an ink liquid cartridge loading part 21. The cartridge case 65 constitutes a pack loading space part inside by integrating a lower case 71 and an upper case 72 via a hinge part 73. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid cartridge which enables a hole connecting to an atmospheric air to be certainly opened at using it and enables the hole to be sealed again after opening it. SOLUTION: The liquid cartridge 1, which is the supply source of a liquid i used for a liquid delivery apparatus 21 discharging the liquid, is equipped with a cartridge body 2 which is mounted in an mounting section 32 of the liquid delivery apparatus 21 with the manner of free attachment and detachment and filled with the liquid i inside, a connecting hole 5 which is formed on the outer surface 2b of the cartridge body 2 and makes the inside of the cartridge body 2 connected to its outside, an elastic member 8 which is arranged on the connecting hole 5 and blockades the hole 5 while being removed at using the liquid cartridge 1 and a pressing member 12 which presses the elastic member 8 to the side of the connecting hole 5 by the manner that the member is mounted in the cartridge body 2 so as to be held while being separated from the cartridge body 2 at mounting the cartridge body 2 in the mounting section 32. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain miniaturization, cost reduction, and improvement of the operability by a simple structure. SOLUTION: A lower case 71 and an upper case 72 are formed into one piece via thin joining hinge parts 73 formed along opposed side edges, whereby a cartridge case 65 is provided which constitutes a pack loading space where an ink pack 67 with a liquid sealed inside is loaded. The cartridge case 65 has a tank cap member 70 combined on one of opposed side faces. A handle part 74 made freely foldable via a hinge part 89 with a thinned base on the other side face is integrally formed with an engagement projection 84 which holds the folded handle part.
