    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an affixing method of a functional film of a cathode-ray tube having an excellent affixing quality and an affixing device that avoid damaging of the surface of the functional film and that no bubble or dust enters between a panel glass surface of the cathode-ray tube and the functional film while affixing. SOLUTION: When a functional film 11 is push-pressed to be affixed from the tip part to the end part in that order using a roller 32 onto a panel glass 1 surface of a cathode-ray tube, an approximately the middle part 11c of the tip part of the functional film 11 is positioned beforehand being contacted with the panel glass 1 at a prescribed position in a state that the functional film 11 is curved projecting toward the panel glass 1 surface and push-pressed to the panel glass 1 from over the tip part to the end part of the functional film 11 using the roller 32 to affix the functional film 11 onto the panel glass 1 surface in that order.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stick a functional film to a large display device having a large adhesive area with simple equipment with taking in of dust reduced as much as possible by conducting electrostatic air blowing to the panel surface immediately before press-sticking is performed, then successively press-sticking a functional film to the panel surface where the electrostatic air blowing is conducted. SOLUTION: One end of an adhesive layer 15 of a functional film 10 is brought into contact with one end of a panel surface 3 for alignment and the one end of the functional film 10 is press stuck to the panel surface 3 with a roller 4. Electrostatic air blowing is conducted to the press-sticking part of a non-sticking part 10b of the functional film 10 and the panel surface 3 with an electrostatic air gun 5, and at the same time the roller 4 is advanced toward the other end of the panel surface 3, and the functional film 10 is press- stuck to the panel surface 3. Static electricity on the panel surface 3 and the adhesive layer 15 is removed, and dust attached there is blown out at the same time. A clean room with a high level is made unnecessary and production equipment is made simple.
