    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To comparatively easily push a multilens holding an optical member into a slide base with light pressure, to exactly locate that multilens at a prescribed position and to accurately attach an optical member such as a Wollaston prism held by a multiholder at the intended position. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a slide base 20 supported so as to get closer to or away from a magneto-optical disk, Wollaston prism 56, with which laser light emitted from a semiconductor laser and radiated through an objective lens is reflected on the magneto-optical disk and the reflected light returned from the objective lens is passed, and multiholder 55 for holding this Wollaston prism 56. The multiholder 55 is provided with a pair of fixtures 81 and 81 protruded on both sides, and a pair of these fixtures 81 and 81 are attached onto the slide base 20 while being respectively fitted to a pair of fixing grooves 86 and 86 provided on the slide base 20.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a recording means detachable from the body of the apparatus and also lightweight and compact when used exclusively for reproduction of data. CONSTITUTION:When a lid 2 is opened, a macro switch 100 is kept OFF and an objective lens 11 of an optical pickup device 7 is urged by a spring to the innermost periphery of a magneto-optic disk 4. An overwrite head is also urged to the innermost periphery of the magneto-optic disk 4. An overwrite head 51 and the optical pickup device 7 are electrically and mechanically registered by a related part. When the lid 2 is closed, the macro switch 100 of the body 1 of the apparatus is turned on. In response to the ON signal, an optical block 10 is positioned at the innermost periphery of the disk 4. When the apparatus is used exclusively as a portable reproducing apparatus, the kit of the overwrite head 51 is removed from inside the lid 2. Accordingly, the apparatus becomes lightweight.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness of an optical pick-up device and to miniaturize and make thin the device by burying a semifixed resistor for adjusting the laser power of an optical system in the thickness direction of a slide base. SOLUTION: A hole part 18 that is penetrated in a thickness direction is formed at a position away from the accommodation part of the optical system of a slide base 2, and a semifixed resistor 17 for adjusting the output of a semiconductor laser 8 is arranged while it is buried into the hole part 18. In this case, the upper surface side of the hole part 18 is covered with the extension part of a flexible printed wiring board 16 and the semifixed resistor 17 is fixed to an inner surface side part that opposes the hole part 18 of the flexible printed wiring board 16. Therefore, by inserting an adjustment tool from the lower surface side of the slide base 2 through the hole part 18 and rotating it, the semifixed resistor 17 can be adjusted. The adjustment is performed in a manufacturer's assembly process, thus adjusting the output of the semiconductor laser 8 to an optimum value.

The actuator 6 is a moveable section 6c, that holds the lens 6a, is held by a pair of parallel springs 6b extended from a fixed section 6d. The optical axis of the outgoing light beams of the laser 2 is in the normal direction with respect to the tracking direction and the laser 2 is arranged in the section 6d side of the actuator 6.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the effect of the divergent angle of a light beam by providing the optical pickup with a light focusing means for converging the light beam emitted from a light source by an aperture and focusing this light onto the signal recording surface of an optical disk and forming this aperture to an elliptic shape having the optical axis of this light focusing means at its center. SOLUTION: The light beam from a semiconductor laser element 21 is cast via respective optical elements 22 to 25 to the optical disk, is converged by the aperture 26a and is focused to the signal recording surface of the optical disk by an objective lens 26. The return light beam thereof is detected by a photodetector 29 via the respective optical elements and recording signals are reproduced. The aperture 26a formed to the elliptic shape converges the light beam by the minor diameter and major diameter with respect to the directions A and B of the small and large divergent angles of the light beam. Then, a uniform light intensity distribution is obtd. together with respect to the directions A, B. As a result, good reading performance is obtd. and the output coupling efficiency of the semiconductor laser element 21 is improved.
