Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce material cost and enhance the reliability of a positive terminal by using a material having austenite and ferrite structure at normal temperature in the positive terminal and fixing a positive electrode to a battery cover or a battery can by caulking. CONSTITUTION: A positive terminal 23 is made of two phase stainless steel comprising austenite and ferrite structure at normal temperature, and enveloped together with a negative electrode 3 and a separator 8. The negative electrode 3, the separator 8, a positive electrode 2, and the separator 8, and the negative electrode 3 are mutually stacked in order to form an electrode stacked body. The positive electrode 2 is fixed to a battery cover 21 or a battery can by caulking. Then they are put in a flat type battery container 10 and an electrolyte prepared by dissolving a lithium salt serving as an electrolyte in an organic solvent is poured in the container 10. Since two phase stainless steel is used and the positive electrode is fixed by caulking, cost is reduced, leakage resistance is ensured to the shock such as falling down, and a battery with high reliability can be obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materilize damages caused by the internal short-circuit of the lithium ion secondary cell high in capacity, and an effect to the circumference without increasing its volume. SOLUTION: In the lithium ion secondary cell, for example, a positive electrode 20 is so constituted as to be divided into four pieces so as to be sealed by a separator 12. Next, 22 pieces of the positive electrodes and 23 pieces of the negative electrodes are alternately laminated, the outer circumferences of them are wound by an adhesive tape so as to be fixed, and each lead portion of them is thereby bent up. And each lead portion is fusion bonded to current collectors 14 each of which is formed out of a prism by ultra sonic welding. Each laminated electrode body 21, to which the current collectors is fusion bonded, is inserted so as to be housed in a cell case and the like. By this constitution, the lithium ion secondary cell is thereby provided, which is small in size, light in weight, and high in safety.

The non-coated part 30a is preferably formed on the belt-shaped current collector 30 intermittently in the length direction or in a belt shape in the length direction. The active material-coated current collector 30 is cut so that the non-coated part 30a becomes current collecting lead 32. An electrode comprising the active material coated part 31 and having the lead 32 is obtained.
