A RECORD MEDIUM HAVING CONCENTRIC TRACKS ON WHICH A PLURALITY OF SECTORS ARE LOCATED STORES DATA IN EACH OF THE SECTORS. THE DATA IN EACH SECTOR PERTAINS TO TWO DIFFERENT SECTORS SO THAT THE AFFECT OF A BURST ERROR ON A PARTICULAR SECTOR IS MINIMIZED.
