Abstract: A battery pack having a casing with detection apertures, and groove means formed along a center line on the casing bottom surface for sliding and engaging with an electrical apparatus having connection terminals. Two hollow electrodes are provided on the front face of the casing for receiving the connection terminals inside the casing. Improper attachment of the battery pack to the apparatus can easily be detected by the inclination of the apparatus relative to the center line, while damage to the batteries in the battery pack caused by a short-circuit due to contact with metals or dust accumulation can be prevented.

Abstract: In a battery pack, it is required that information on a contained battery (23) of the battery pack, such as the accurate state of charge of the battery (23), can be detected by external equipment (27). A communication terminal (24) which can communicate the state of charge of the contained battery (23) to the external equipment (27) is provided on the installation surface on which power supply terminals (25, 26) of the battery pack are provided or on a surface adjacent to the installation surface. This configuration allows the corresponding electrodes (30, 31) or the like of the external equipment (27) to be concentrated at one place, so that the space required to arrange the corresponding electrodes (30, 31) or the like is reduced, thus allowing for downsizing of the external equipment (27).

Abstract: A built-in camera type video tape recorder (CTVTR) (100) can be loaded on a connecting apparatus (1) for connecting the CTVTR, having video signal, audio signal and control signal terminals and a power supply connecting terminal, to other electrical machinery and apparatus. A supporting member is formed at the underside of the CTVTR and has a shutter member, the shutter member being opened in ganged relation with a shutter of the connecting apparatus (1) which is opened when the CTVTR is loaded onto the connecting apparatus (1), and a terminal portion faces an opening closed by the shutter member of the supporting member and is electrically connected to a signal input and output portion projecting from an opening opened when a shutter of the connecting apparatus (1) is opened. The connecting apparatus (1) comprises an apparatus body to be connected to the other electrical machinery and apparatus via a cable, and an input and output terminal portion for connecting respective terminals of the CTVTR to the apparatus body when the CTVTR is loaded onto the apparatus body. A power supplying apparatus (54) comprises a terminal portion for supplying power to the connecting apparatus (1), and a guide portion to guide the power supplying apparatus so that it can be accommodated into an accommodating compartment of the connecting apparatus (1).
