Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the time till a desired RDS station is selected. CONSTITUTION:The receiver is provided with a demodulation circuit 32 demodulating identification data and frequency data from a broadcast wave signal received by a synthesizer system reception circuit 10, a detection circuit 35 detecting a reception level of the broadcast wave signal received by the reception circuit 10, a memory 44 storing the identification data and the frequency data, and a channel selection key KTN. The memory 44 stores the frequency data for each of the identification data. When the channel selection key KTN is operated, the reception state of the broadcast is sequentially checked as to the frequency represented by the frequency data for each of the frequency data for each of identification data in the order of the identification data. As a result of the check, when the broadcast is received by the frequency of the corresponding frequency data, the broadcast for the frequency is received.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve page feeding in the receiver of FM teletext broadcasting. CONSTITUTION: A memory 24 storing received character data, a display element 50, and the feeding key of display 62A are provided. When the feeding key 62A is operated, whether character data of a next page in the display element 50 is prepared or not is checked. When character data of the next page is prepared as the result of the check, a character is displayed in the display element 50 by the character data 50 as the character data. When character data of the next page is not prepared, a system waits for the preparation of character data of the next page for a prescribed period. When character data of the next page is prepared within the prescribed period, the character is displayed on the display element 50 by the character data. When character data of the next page is not prepared within the prescribed period, the character is displayed on the display element 50 by character data of the page displayed when the feeding key 62A is operated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a table for an AF list effective even if its capacity is smaller than the capacity of a sent AF list. CONSTITUTION:This receiver is used for such broadcasting that frequency data on broadcasting stations which are sending the same program are sent together with a main signal S17. This receiver is provided with a synthesizer system receiving circuit 10 and a demodulating circuit 32 which demodulates a broadcast wave signal S12 received by the receiving circuit 10 into frequency data. Further, the receiver is provided with a detecting circuit 35 which detects the reception level of the broadcast wave signal S12 received by the receiving circuit 10 and a memory 44 which holds the frequency data. The reception state of a broadcast is checked as to the frequency that the frequency data indicates and the check results are held in the memory 44 by the frequency data. When a check result indicates that a broadcast can not be received at the frequency of corresponding frequency data, another frequency data is held instead of the frequency data.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a capacity of a memory storing data and to reduce the processing load in the receiver for an FM teletext broadcast program. SOLUTION: The receiver is provided with a memory storing received data and a display element displaying a character according to the data from the memory. The memory is provided with a data storage area DSTR and a data management table DMNG. When a packet is received, data to specify a program are registered in the data management table DMNG so that the data are not in duplicate. A data block is stored in the data storage area DSTR and data denoting a storage area of a data block preceding or succeeding to the stored data block are stored in the data storage area DSTR. Data representing a storage address of a head data block among data blocks of the same program and the same page written in the data storage area DSTR are stored in the data management area DMNG for each of the data specifying the program.
