Abstract:
An image recording apparatus is disclosed which comprises: an information storing element for storing recording preset information constituted by a recording start time and a recording end time of each of preset programs for unattended recording, and by a program input route through which to input each of the preset programs; an overlap judging element for judging whether any of the preset programs for unattended recording overlap between the recording start times and the recording end times of the programs; an overlap warning element for warning of any overlapping preset programs that are judged to exist; and a priority presetting element for prioritizing the overlapping preset programs for unattended recording.
Abstract:
A broadcast signal receiver, which can prevent a failure in reserved recording, includes a microcomputer (3) which decodes a VCR+ code of a programme desired to be reserved for recording, which is inputted by way of a remote commander or the like, to obtain data of programme start and end times and channel information. A channel indicated by the channel information is selected by a tuner circuit (2), and programme table data is extracted from a character broadcasting signal multiplexed in a video signal by a decoder. It is discriminated whether or not one of the programme starting times of programmes included in the programme table data coincides with the programme start time obtained by decoding of the VCR+ code. A result of the discrimination is displayed on a monitor television (11). Only when it is discriminated that a coincident programme start time is present are the data of the programme start and end times and the channel information written into a reservation memory (9) and registered for reservation. Recording is started when the programme label (programme starting time) extracted from the video signal by the decoder coincides with the programme start time of the reservation memory (9).
Abstract:
A REPRODUCING DEVICE (10) PROVIDED WITH AT LEAST A REPRODUCTION APPARATUS (12) AND A DECODING APPARATUS (13) WITH DECODING TRANSMITTED ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE DATA IS PROVIDED, AND INCLUDES A SWITCHER FOR SWITCHING BETWEEN AN ANTENNA (1) RECEIVED SIGNAL AND AN INTERNALLY GENERATED SIGNAL, AND A CHANNEL SWITCHER (11) FOR SWITCHING A CHANNEL OF A DISPLAY APPARATUS. WHEN AN ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE DISPLAY REQUEST IS MADE, THE SWITCHER IS AUTOMATICALLY SWITCHED TO THE INTERNALLY GENERATED SIGNAL, WHICH IS THEN OUTPUT ON A PREDETERMINED CHANNEL HAVING A PREDETERMINED FREQUENCY.ADDITIONALLY, THE CHANNEL OF THE DISPLAY APPARATUS (23) TO WHICH THE INTERNALLY GENERATED SIGNAL IS APPLIED IS ALSO AUTOMATICALLY SWITCHED TO THE PREDETERMINED CHANNEL NUMBER HAVING THE PREDETERMINED FREQUENCY BY THE CHANNEL SWITCHER (11) THUS TO ALLOW FOR THE DISPLAY OF THE ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE.THE INVENTION IS SIMILARLY APPLICABLE TO A REPRODUCTION DEVICE ALSO HAVING A RECORDING FEATURE.(FIG.1)
Abstract:
AN APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE RECORDING OF TELEVISION PROGRAMS ARE DISCLOSE. THE APPARATUS DISPLAYS ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE INFORMATION SUPERPOSED ON A TELEVISION SIGNAL. THE APPARATUS ALLOWS A PLURALITY OF DESIRED PROGRAMS TO BE RESERVED FOR RECORDING BASED ON THE ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE INFORMATION (7). IF ANY OF THE RESERVED PROGRAMS OVERLAP, THE APPARATUS ALLOWS THE STARTING TIME AND/OR ENDING TIME OF ANY OF THE OVERLAPPED PROGRAMS TO BE CHANGED . THE APPARAUS MAY PERMIT A PROGRAM TO BE RESERVED FOR RECORDING BY INPUTTING RECORDING TIME AND RECORDING CHANNEL(5). IF A PROGRAM RESERVED FOR RECORDING BASED ON THE ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE INFORMATION (7) OVERLAPS A PROGRAM RESERVED FOR RCORDING BY INPUTTING RECORDING TIME AND RECORDING CHANNEL (5) , APREFERENTIAL SETTING ENABLES ONE OF THE OVERLAPPED PROGRAMS TO BE RECORDED. THE APPRATUS ADVANTAGEOUSLY CAUSES AN ICON TO BE CONTINOUSLY DISPLAYED ON A TELEVISION SCREEN (9) IN CONNECTION WITH THE TELEVISION PICTURE SIGNAL WHEN A PROGRAM IS RESEVERED FOR RECORDING. A CORRESPONDING METHOD IS DESCRIBE.
