The object is to enable the easy change of the scale and functions of broadcasting systems. An AV data input/output controlling circuit is connected through a data bus to a synchronous-asynchronous conversion circuit and through a control bus to a recording and reproduction controlling circuit. The AV data input/output controlling circuit inputs and outputs audio and/or video data of a normal data rate. The AV data input/output controlling circuit also inputs and outputs audio and/or video data of a higher data rate than usual. In the data recording and reproducing apparatus, audio and/or video data is transferred through a data bus synchronized with a reference synchronization signal S28 etc., the audio and/or video data input from an external unit is recorded in a storage device, and the audio and/or video data recorded in the storage device is reproduced and supplied to the outside.

The scale and functions of a broadcasting system are easily changed. AV data input/output control circuits are connected to a synchronization/asynchronization converting circuit through a data, and to a recording/reproduction control circuit and a storage device through a control bus. The AV data input/output control circuits (101-10n) receive and output audio/video data at an ordinary data rate and the AV data input/output control circuit (50) receives and outputs audio/video data at a data rate higher than the ordinary data rate. A data recording/reproducing device transmits and receives audio/video data through the data bus asynchronously or synchronously with a reference synchronising signal (S28), etc. Audio/video data inputted from the outside are recorded in a storage device, and the audio/video data recorded in the storage device are reproduced and sent to the outside.
