Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect tape positions highly accurately by changing over a first means of obtaining the current position with the rotating period of one reel and a second means of obtaining the current position based on the ratio of the rotating periods of both reels and displaying the positions. CONSTITUTION:Rotation detectors 7, 8 are provided respectively to the shafts of the supply reel 2 and wind-up reel 3 of a cassette 1 and the pulses from these are inputted to period measuring circuits 12, 13. Those from the circuit 12 are sent to a calculating circuit 14 and those from the circuit 13 are sent together with the output of the circuit 12 to a calculating circuit 15, whereby the data signals of the digital values indicating the current positions of the tape are obtained. These signals are then displayed in a display device 16 via changeover circuit 18. Hence, the use of the calculating circuit 14 at the recording and reproducing modes and the calculating circuit 14 at the fast feed and rewinding modes enables tape position displaying to be performed irrespective of running speed and enables highly accurate position detection to be performed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To highly accurately locate a tape irrespective of the high and low speeds of the tape by counting the number of rotation detecting pulses, which are contained in two longer and shorter kinds of refrence pulse periods, thereby to locate the tape. CONSTITUTION:Rotation detector 7 and 8 are arranged on reel drive shafts 5 and 6 so that one pulse A may be generated each one rotation of the shafts by means of detecting elements 9 and 10 and fed to counters 11 and 12, where count control pulses B having a pulse width of time T are generated. On the other hand, the reference pulses C are fed from a counter circuit 13 to the counters 11 and 12 to count the number of the pulses C which are contained in the time T. The circuit 13 feed the reference pulses of a shorter period t2 to the counters 11 and 12, when under its intial condition, but is made responsive to the frequency change-over signals from the counters 11 and 12 to convert them into the reference pulses of a longer period t1. The reel rotation period is detected with the reference pulses of the shorter period t2 at the higher speed and with the pulses of the longer period t1 at the lower speed so that the performances of the counters 11 and 12 and the counter circuit 13 may be obtained at their maximum levels at each speed, thus making it possible to highly accurately locate the tape at each speed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable excellent recording even with slower tape running speed, by shifting either one of the phases of the output signal of the third power circuit and the recording signal to another, and feeding those signals to the magnetic head after superposition. CONSTITUTION:The recording signal from the input terminal 11 is fed to the phase delay circuit 13 via the recording equalizer circuit 12, a part of the signal is third- powered in the third power circuit 14. The third-powered signal and the signal from the phase delay circuit 13 are superimposed and fed to the adder 15, where AC bias signal is superimposed, and the superimposed signal is fed to the recording magnetic head 16. Thus, the recorded phase of each signal recorded as residual magnetization on the magnetic recording media is in agreement. Even with lower tape running speed, the operation compensating the distortion of third harmonics through the use of the third power circuit can not be defected to establish excellent magnetic recording and reproduction.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform two-way recording automatically without interruption of recording contents by generating reverse signal according to the mutual relations of the connection time of the minimum level of recording-reproduction signal in a soundless state and tape remaining quantity detection signal. CONSTITUTION:When the output of a recording signal amplification system 12 becomes a minimum level in a soundless state, the capacitor 26 in which the charge current of the capacitor 26 via detection amplifier 24, diode 25 of a signal level detection part 21 becomes nearly 0 discharges at a specified time constant. When the soundless state continues for a specified time, the output of an inverter 28 inverts. On the other hand, the tape remaining quantity detection part 22 detects the remaining quantity of the magnetic tape from the revolution period of a reel 2 or 3, detects the output signal through the frequency divider 30 of a revolution detector 29 with a period discrimination circuit 31, and opens an AND gate 23. Hence, the auto reverse via auto reverse driving circuit 42 is accomplished only near the tape end irrespective of the no-signal parts, etc. where discontinuation time owing to change of musics is short, whereby the automatic two-way recording free from any interruption on the recording contents is accomplished.

The heads 7 and 6 each have two head core 61 and 62 opposite to each other with gap parts 63 and 64 between; and the head 7 is made wider than the head 6, and the part except them is provided with a magnetic shield member 65. In the running directions A and B of the tape 1, the subsignals (b) and (a) digitized and made into blocks are reproduced by the head 7 respectively and visual information is displayed by using a liquid-crystal display device, etc.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To compensate demagnetization of a master tape and make possible repeated transfer by forming the master tape endless, compression bonding the same to a slave tape at a part thereof in performing magnetic transfer and providing an erasing and recording means of signals. CONSTITUTION:The endless master tape 3 which is driven by a pinch roller 4 and a capstan 14 is run between a substrate 1 and an elastic plate 2 such as of silicone rubber or the like provided in opposition thereto and an erase head 9, recording head 27 and playback head 28 are provided to a part thereof. Magnetic transfer is accomplished by compression bonding a slave card 31 to the master tape 3 by an air cylinder 32 and moving a transfer magnetic field generating means 8. Hence, when the master tape 3 has demagnetized, the signals are erased with the erase head 9 and are rerecorded with the recording head 27, whereby the repeated transfer may be performed through compensation of demagnetization and the working efficiency may be enhanced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the breather due to noises under the condition having no deterioration in the sound quality in a high range and no clear noise in a low range by using a preemphasis circuit having different gains for different bands. CONSTITUTION:One input signal is fed to the preset LPF filter 16 of a preemphasis circuit so that the mid-range band becomes the low range signals which are attenuated more than a low range band. The other input signal is amplified by an ampli fier 17 into high range signals through an HPF 18 so that the resultant high signals are added to the low range signals from the LPF 16 by an adder 19. As a result, the composed output has a higher gain at a middle range than at a low range and has also a higher gain at a high range than the low range so that the frequency characteristics of each band is so adjusted as to have no deterioration in the sound guality in the high range. Thus,it is possible to generate such signals as have their breathers of the noises reduced under the condition having no clear noise in the low range.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a level setting device which varies the output level faithfully in accordance with the level change of the input signal after setting the output level of the noise and the like to the value approximate to the desired level through a comparatively simple operation. CONSTITUTION:Setting scale 4 is provided around operation knob 5 corresponding to display scale 2 of the dB unit of level meter 1, and setting mark 6 of knob 5 is set to the desired value of scale 4. Under these conditions, switch 7 is turned on to secure an automatic control for the output level to the set value regardless of the input signal level. After a fixed time, switch 7 is turned off, and thus the gain of the controlled time is maintained. After this, the noise level of the output is obtained according to the input level. Such adjustment circuit is composed of voltage control type amplifier 12, line amplifier 3, sound recording equalizer amplifier 14 and detector amplifier 19 containing variable resistor 18 which varies the resistance value in accordance with the operation of knob 5 respectively.
