    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody a method for evaluating a stamper capable of much improving the reliability to the quality of an optical disk after molding. SOLUTION: A permeable film consisting of a curable resin having a refractive index equal to or approximate to the refractive index of the base part of the optical disk is laminated and formed on one surface 41A of a stamper 41, which has the rugged patterns 42 meeting recording signals on one surface and is used as a metal mold at the time of forming the light transparent base parts transferred with the rugged patterns of the optical disk, so as to cover rugged patterns 42 and thereafter, the one surface 41A of this stamper 41 is irradiated with a laser beam via a permeable substrate for correction optical aberrations having the refractive index equal to or approximate to the refractive index of the base part of the optical disk and the thickness equal to or approximate to the difference between the thicknesses of the base part and the permeable film in the method for evaluating the stamper which evaluates the stamper 41. As a result, the method of evaluating the stamper capable of exceedingly improving the reliability to the quality of the optical disk after the molding is embodied.
