Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate grasping an omnidirectional image which is made by use of an omnidirectional imaging optical system.SOLUTION: An imaging unit 110 generates an omnidirectional image (annular image) in a state of being attached with an adapter which includes an omnidirectional imaging optical system for imaging an omnidirectional subject (including a subject in an optical axis direction of the imaging unit 110 and a subject facing a display surface of a display unit 150). An image processing unit 171 divides a full panoramic image into four pieces in a circumferential direction to specify approximately fan-shaped target areas (four areas) and convert an image of at least one of these target areas into an approximately rectangular image (conversion image). For example, the four-division is performed such that the subject in the optical axis direction and the subject facing the display surface thereof are each positioned at the center of the conversion image. A display control unit 175 displays the conversion image and the full panoramic image at the same time on the display unit 150 on imaging operation of the omnidirectional image. Further, the display control unit 175 switches the conversion image according to a switching operation.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To know the remaining working time of a battery easily when it is used in an objective apparatus at current charging amount during charging operation using a relatively simple method. SOLUTION: A charging system comprises an objective apparatus, a battery B and a charger C. The battery B comprises a memory 9 for storing power consumption information of the objective apparatus, and residual power information determined by integrating the charge/discharge current detected by a charge/discharge current detecting circuit 11 through a microprocessor 8 and the information is delivered to the charger C through communication between microprocessors 8 and 14 when the charger C is connected. The microprocessor 14 in the charger C calculates the remaining working time of the battery B based on the residual power information and the power consumption information and displays the remaining working time on a remaining working time display circuit 15.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately perform image processing according to an imaging mode.SOLUTION: A posture detection part 130 detects a posture of an imaging device 100. An imaging part 190 images an object to generate a planar image including the object or a stereoscopic image for viewing the object stereoscopically. An image conversion part 172 performs latitude-longitude conversion processing and reduction processing for the image generated by the imaging part 190 to convert the image. When a stereoscopic image imaging mode is set, a control part 174 controls a storage part 180 to store the stereoscopic image irrespective of a posture of the imaging device 100 which is detected by the posture detection part 130. When a planar image imaging mode is set, the control part 174 controls the storage part 180 to store any of the planar image and the conversion image generated by the image conversion part 172 based on the posture of the imaging device 100 which is detected by the posture detection part 130.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system and an information processing apparatus and method by which image data can be transmitted readily from a portable terminal apparatus, with which it is not comparatively easy to input a name, to a different apparatus via a network so that the image data are managed by the different apparatus. SOLUTION: A camcorder image station 41 has a folder for each user of a camcorder 11 and has, in each of the folders, 10 sub-folders of album 1 to album 10 to each of which a name is applied, in advance. The user of the camcorder 11 transmits images picked up by the user himself to the camcorder image station 41 so that the images are registered into a predetermined album. The camcorder 11 has an album list of 10 albums of album 1 to album 10, in advance, and selects an album of one of the names from within the list to designate an album into which image data that are uploaded. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent continuity of a subject from being damaged when developing an annular image generated by omnidirectional image capturing into a panorama image. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: a cut position determination unit determining a cut position at which an annular image is cut in a radial direction to maintain continuity of a subject in the annular image generated by an omnidirectional image capturing apparatus; and an image conversion unit converting the annular image into a long-rectangular-shaped panorama image by cutting the annular image at the cut position determined by the cut position determination unit and developing the cut annular image. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve full panoramic imaging in a normal image capturing device without requiring a user to carry out a complicated setting operation. SOLUTION: The image capturing device includes an image capturing unit which allows an adaptor with a full panoramic image capturing optical system for capturing a full panoramic image of a photographic subject to be removably attached thereto and comprises an image capturing optical system for capturing the photographic subject in one direction, and an image capturing element for capturing the photographic subject incident from the image capturing optical system, an attachment detection unit for detecting whether or not the adaptor is attached to the image capturing unit, and a control unit for controlling the setting of the image capturing device in accordance with characteristics of the full panoramic image capturing optical system when the adaptor is attached to the image capturing unit. PURPOSE:To obtain an image to which special effect is added only by operation of a knob of a camera without using an expensive special effect generator by incorporating a circuit that changes the level and phase of chroma signals in a video camera. CONSTITUTION:The camera is provided with a circuit (a variable phase-shifting circuit 15, variable resistors 14, 16) that adjusts amplitude and phase of sub- carrier. Chroma signals for which the level and phase are adjusted are obtained by mixing the adjusted sub-carrier and chroma signals. The adjusted chroma signals, luminance signals Y and synchronizing signals SYNC are added and led as camera output. Thereby, hue and chromaticity can be adjusted freely by video signals of camera output, and special effect can be added simply.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for allowing a user to easily checking information stored in a recording medium even when information is backed up in a plurality of recording media, from a storage area of an information recording device. SOLUTION: A video camera device 100 includes: an HDD 127 for storing a plurality of contents and content identifiers assigned to the plurality of contents in ascending order and uniquely identifying the contents; and a CPU 120 for backing up the plurality of contents in a recording medium in ascending order of the content identifiers, and storing, when the back-up is completed or interrupted, content identifiers corresponding to last one of contents which have been backed up, as backup media list information in the HDD 127. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily transmit image data from a mobile terminal apparatus, into which the input of a title is comparatively not easy, through a network to the other apparatus, and to manage the image data. SOLUTION: An image station 41 for a cam coder has a holder for each user of the cam coder 11 and each holder has 10 sub-holders of albums 1-10 with previously added titles. The user of the cam coder 11 transmits an image picked up by himself/herself to the image station 41 for the cam coder and registers that image on the prescribed album. The cam coder 11 has the album list of 10 titles of albums 1-10 in advance and by selecting an album having one of these titles, the album to upload image data is designated.
