Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To know a using state or degraded state at a glance by managing the number of times of erasure or degraded state of all the cells in a sector or block as for an IC memory card through storing managing information, which can be erased for the unit of block provided with individually write enable plural sectors, and showing the using conditions of block or sector in a non-volatile memory. SOLUTION: In a physical sector managing table area 2, M pieces of tables equal to the number of physical sectors are arranged in the order of numbers of physical sectors. In those tables a logical sector number 4, number 5 of times of use for reloading, number 6 of times of rewrite, number 7 of times of repetition of erasure and use condition flag 8 or the like are written. When a CPU watches and detects the number 6 of times of rewrite, the number 7 of times of repetition of erasure or the use condition flag 8 written in this managing table area 2 for each sector, the sector of slow write or slow erase is selected. Then, by exchanging it with a non-used sector or spare sector, the speed of entire write to the IC memory card is prevented from being decelerated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To uniformly utilize all sectors in an IC memory card by preparing a writing/reading means for rewriting frequency, erase repeating frequency and a using status flag in a memory medium. CONSTITUTION:The memory medium for storing information is provided with a physical sector managing table area 2 as a writing/reading area for rewriting frequency 6, erase repeating frequency 7 and a using status flag 8. The number of physical sectors, i.e., M tables, are arranged in the areas 2 in the order of physical sector numbers and logical sector numbers 4, rewriting usefrequency 5, rewriting frequency 6, erase repeating frequency 7, using status flags 8, etc., are written as the contents of the area 2. A CPU selects a sector with slow writing or erasing and substitutes an unused sector or a spare sector for the slow sector, so that the whole writing speed in an IC memory card can be prevented from falling and the whole sectors can be uniformly used.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To correctly focus a camera on a subject desired to focus by selecting arbitrarily a focusing area in which a picture becomes a focused point in an area displayed on a display device. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup device 5 to image-pick up the picture of the subject 4, and a display device 15 to display a picture fetched through the image pickup device 5 are provided, and the focusing area in which the picture of the subject 4 becomes the focused point is selected arbitrarily in the prescribed area of the picture displayed on the display device 15 by a selecting device 16. Namely, the shape, size and position of the focusing area to be the object of automatic focusing are selected by the selecting device 16 while confirming the display screen of the display device 15. Then, the focal point is determined by using picture data in only the selected focal area, and thereby the focus is adjusted on the selected area by driving a lens system.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily and correctly recognize the focusing state of a focus by displaying a picture colored in accordance with the focusing state in a viewfinder. CONSTITUTION:An image picking up means 18 to image-pick up the picture of a subject 1 and a displaying part 16 to display the image-picked up picture are provided. Then, thus device is provided with a picture memory 11 to store the picture fetched by deviating a focus position in contrast to the prescribed image-picked up picture fetched by the image picking up means 18 and a controller (CPU) 13 to generate a focused picture in which the focus is well adjusted from the picture fetched by deviating the focus position and the prescribed picture. Then, what picture in every area is in the best focus is calculated by the CPU 13 by using the image-picked up picture image-picked up in a prescribed state and the image-picked up picture fetched from this image-picked up picture by deviating the focus in a distance direction, and this calculated data is displayed in the viewfinder 16 as being coordinated with a color.

CONSTITUTION:Picture data to be processed is loaded from an input picture memory 32 (hard disk) to a CPU 33, and processing control pictures indicating various processing contents are displayed on the control display device of a console 40 in the form of menu or the like, and the operator selects the manual mode or the sequential mode for the execution of operation based on processing control pictures. When the sequential processing mode is selected, a means is provided by which the operator can select the processing mode of automatic operation, manual operation, or non-operation with respect to each processing, and the processing operation is executed based on the processing mode selected for each processing. Thus, the simplification of operation and the flexibility of operation are improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To transmit still picture information and caption information related to above-mentioned information together without losing the still picture information by writing a caption corresponding to a projected still picture image in a caption memory and reading it with the contents of a still picture memory to transmit. CONSTITUTION:A digital still picture signal stored in a frame memory 4 is read and supplied to a monitor receiver 7 through a D/A converter 5 so as to project the still picture on a CRT screen. As an operator watches the still picture on the screen, the operator inputs the caption (photographing date such as year, month, day and hour, a title, etc.) corresponding to the still picture by using a keyboard 13 or a tablet 15 and writes it in a caption memory 11 as a code signal. On the screen of the monitor receiver 7 the still picture and the caption put on the picture are projected. The contents of the frame memory 4 and the caption memory 11 is read so as to be supplied to a communication interface 19 to be transmitted.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To know at a look the working state or deterioration state of an IC memory card by providing connections which are divided into plural parts and a nonvolatile memory which can be erased in each block including plural sectors that can be individually written and where the information is written from a recorder via the connections. SOLUTION: An oblong IC memory card 101 includes a nonvolatile flash EEPROM and a power source and also an arithmetic such as a CPU as necessary. A junction 108 which is divided into 10 pieces at most, for example, and connected to a junction rest 105, for example, contained in a card writer 102 is placed at a shorter side of one of both ends of the card 101. Then the thermal labels 107 are stuck on the card 101 at each prescribed position. The display characters such as 'under workingβ, 'light degradation' and αheavy degradation' are written on the labels 107 which are stuck on the surface of the card 101, so that the degradation state of the card 101 is known at a look from the changing degree of a color.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain stable demodulation at a reception side and to eliminate a data error by inserting a dummy carrier to a head of the data with a prescribed interval and sending the resulting data. CONSTITUTION:A dummy carrier is inserted to a head of the data, that is, the top of a training sequence at an interval of a prescribed interval such as 20ms and the resulting data is sent in a communication equipment provided with a transmission side MODEM sending a data, a compressor 2 compressing the amplitude of the data from the transmission side MODEM, an expander 9 expanding the amplitude of the data sent from the compressor and a reception side MODEM 10 demodulating the output of the expander. Thus, the gain is varied in only the dummy carrier even with the deviation of a time constant between, e.g., the compressor 2 and the expander 9 and the part of the training sequence gives no effect to the gain change. Thus, sure demodulation is attained.
