Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure generally include a method and apparatus for performing cytometry. Specifically, embodiments of the invention comprise apparatus for providing a sample fluid to a cytometry system comprising a cytometry chip and a holder. The cytometry chip is for channeling a sample fluid from a sample fluid port to an output channel. The holder is configured to retain the cytometry chip within the holder. The holder comprises an interface between the cytometry chip and at least one of a source of the sample fluid, a source of a sheath fluid or a source of electric charge. Embodiments of a method comprise using the apparatus to provide a sample fluid to a cytometry system.

By setting the jitter produced when recording random pattern signals on one track only to not more than 8.4% and by setting jitter increase on recording signals also on both side neighboring tracks to not more than 4.9%, the skew margin in the radial direction of not less than +/-0.7 DEG and that in the running direction (circumferential direction) of not less than +/-0.6 DEG are assured.

Abstract: [Problem] To provide: an information processing device with which cells to be observed can be photographed efficiently; an information processing method; a program; and an observation system. [Solution] An information processing device according to the present invention is provided with a photography control unit, a photography area classification unit, and an observation control unit. The photography control unit controls a photography mechanism such that a culture container provided with a plurality of wells which accommodate cells is photographed in each photography area. The photography area classification unit executes image processing on each image photographed by the photography mechanism, and classifies a plurality of photography areas as first photography areas for which photography is to be continued, or second photography areas for which photography is not to be continued, on the basis of the image processing results. The observation control unit instructs the photography control unit such that the photography areas classified as the first photography areas are photographed, and the photography areas classified as the second photography areas are not photographed.
