CONSTITUTION:A detection probe 10 comprising color filters 12-14 for resolving a measuring light from a screen to be measured into three primary colors, photosensors 15-17 for converting the quantity of light of three primary color into an electric signal, and a nonvolatile memory 18 storing measuring parameters is freely exchangably connected with an apparatus body 30 through a connection cable 20. A three primary color signal detected through the probe 10 is passed through an A/D section 34 to produce a digital three color primary signal. It is fed to a processing section 35 where the chromaticity and luminance are operated based on measurement parameters fed from the nonvolatile memory 18. A display control section 37 then controls a liquid display section 33 depending on the operation results.
