PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make contract change easily. SOLUTION: The contract change information, such a channel number wanted to make a new flat contract, is input, and when it is reserved in an EEPROM 24 of a security module 9, a decoder 8 transmits the contract change information to a transmission-side system. Whereby the transmission side system transmits separate information to the security module 9 making the new flat contract. In a first decoder 23, a contract key is extracted from the separate information on the basis of a contract key, and in a second decoder 22, a scramble key is extracted from the program information on the basis of the contract key and is supplied to a descrambler 21, and the predetermined program of the channel making the flat contract is descrambled. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize various services by allowing a pay broadcast system to up-link application data together with view history information. SOLUTION: View history information to impose charging on viewers is stored in an area 41 of transmission data and sent periodically to a transmitter side via a telephone line or the like. In the case that application data are generated by the user, the data are stored in an area 43 so as to set data denoting the presence of the application data to an area 42. When the area 42 at a reception terminal equipment is set with data denoting the presence of the application data in the area 43, the data are sent to the transmitter side independently of a periodic timing. Since the data in response to the application are stored in the area 43, various services such as TV shopping or mail distribution are realized.

SOLUTION: When contract revision information such as a channel number desiring newly a flat contract is received and stored in an EEPROM 24 of a security module 9, a decoder 8 sends the contract revision information to a transmitter side system. Thus the transmitter side system sends individual information to the security module 9 under a new flat contract. A 1st decoder 23 extracts a contract key based on individual key from individual information and a 2nd decoder 22 extracts a scramble key based on the contract key from the program information and fed to a descrambler 21 and a prescribed program of a channel under the flat contract is descrambled.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform viewing control regardless of a pay broadcast contract style. SOLUTION: An encrypted contract key corresponding to a prescribed program is supplied beforehand from a broadcast supply side to a receiving terminal while being contained in individual information and at the receiving terminal, the contract key is decrypted by a first decoder 23 using a receiving terminal specific individual key. When a prescribed operation is performed on the receiving terminal, at a second decoder 22, a scrambling key in program information added to the program is decoded using the decoded contract key and supplied to a descrambler 21, and the program is descrambled at the descrambler 21. A contents management program 111 uses the authentication keys received by the program 112 and authenticates any of corresponding EMD servers 4-1 to 4-3.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the detection ability of the alteration of viewing information by preparing the alteration prevention codes of the viewing information for respective systems and adding them to the viewing information when a transmission side is constituted of the plural systems. CONSTITUTION: In a reception terminal, when a scrambled prescribed program and individual information transmitted through a transmission line 10 are received, the program is supplied to a descrambler 8a and the individual information is supplied to a security module 9. The module 9 computes a CRC code based on the viewing information, adds it to the viewing information as the alteration prevention code and transmits it to a viewing information gathering processing system 7 on the transmission side through a telephone line 11. The alteration judgement part 7a of the system 7 judges whether or not the viewing information is altered based on the alteration prevention code corresponding to a processing system added to the viewing information. Thus, whether or not the alteration is performed is verified for the respective processing systems and the security of the viewing information is improved.
