Abstract: A flexible disc cassette is provided with a shutter which is capable of opning/closing a head access hole and a pad insertion hole respectively formed in upper and lower halves thereof. A V-shaped torsion spring is used as the spring for biasing the shutter in the closed position. The lengths of the linear arm portions integrally formed with both sides of the coiled portion of the spring are approximately the same. Both tips of the arm portions are bent at approximately 90.degree. so as to form the L-shaped hooks which has the same length and which extend in the opposite directions along the height of the coiled portion. The L-shaped hooks are stopped by the shutter and the cassette case.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a head base and to decrease the number of parts by attaching directly a head to an attaching surface worked after aseembling of a rotary guide drum. The transmission and reception of a signal to and from the stationary side are thus made possible with the head 32 via the rotary transformer 17 and the execution of recording and/or reproducing is made possible by bringing the magnetic tape wound on the outside periphery of a stationary guide drum 16 and a rotary guide drum 24 into contact with the head 32.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify a manufacturing process by molding a shutter out of synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:Recessed parts 10 and 11 are formed in external surfaces of an upper shell 1 and a lower shell including parts where ablong holes 8 and 9 are bored. The shutter 12 which is sectioned nearly in a U shape is fitted slidably in the recessed parts 10 and 11. The shutter 12 consists of a top plate 21, a flank plate 23, and a back plate 22 molded in one body. The shutter 12 is formed of thermoplastic synthetic resin, such as polyoxymethylene resin, which has superior elasticity, small frictional resistance, and relatively high strength.
