    Abstract: A magnetic disc cassette comprises a magnetic disc (3), a casing (1,2) housing the magnetic disc (3) and a shutter (12) which is slidably provided on the casing (1,2) and can be set to either an operating position or a non-operating position. The shutter (12) comprises an upper plate (21), a lower plate (22), a side plate (23) which couples the upper and lower plates (21, 22), and an opening (14, 15) formed in at least one of the upper and lower plates (21, 22) for insertion of a head, the upper plate (21), the lower plate (22) and the side plate (23), of the shutter (12) being integrally moulded from a synthetic resin material so as to have a U-shaped cross-section and thereby to sandwich the casing (1,2).
