Abstract:
A battery apparatus and an electronic equipment are provided which permit the use of a plurality of types of battery apparatuses that differ in capacity, and are advantageous in improving ease of use. A case of a battery apparatus has a main body portion and a bottom portion disposed at one side in a thickness direction at the midpoint in a width direction of the main body portion. Portions on both sides in the width direction of the case are formed as flat side surfaces that are parallel to each other and extend in a length direction. A plane on one side in the thickness direction of the case is formed as a flat bottom surface. At portions of the case on both sides in the width direction, guide grooves are formed which extend in the length direction and engage projections disposed at a battery housing chamber thereby to position the position of the case in the thickness direction within the battery housing chamber.
Abstract:
A battery pack having a function of calculating the remaining power of a chargeable battery cell. A microcomputer (5) incorporated in a battery pack calculates a power integrated value Y . The microcomputer (5) uses it as battery remaining power data if the power integrated value Y is below a maximum power integrated value Ym and uses the maximum power integrated value Ym as battery remaining power data if the calculated power integrated value Y is the maximum power integrated value or more. The microcomputer (5) corrects a reference power integrated value Y0 depending on the number of reaches of the power integrated value Y to the maximum power integrated value Ym.
Abstract:
A secondary battery for electronic appliance to be installed in an electronic appliance, thereby feeding an electric power to the electronic appliance, is disclosed, which includes: a battery cell (3) in which a positive electrode, a negative electrode and an electrolyte are accommodated in a pack (23), and a positive electrode terminal (21) and a negative electrode terminal (22) from the positive electrode and the negative electrode, respectively are lead out from the same side face of the pack; a metallic battery can (2) in which one opening from which the battery cell is inserted is formed and which accommodates the battery cell therein such that the side face from which the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal are lead out is faced towards the opening side; and a lid (4) made of a synthetic resin in which a positive electrode terminal part (37) and a negative electrode terminal part (38) to be connected to the electrodes of the electronic appliance upon being connected to the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal and being faced outwardly are provided and which plugs the opening of the battery can.
Abstract:
In case a similar component-to-be-loaded is erroneously loaded on a main body side apparatus, contact of terminals are avoided. To this end, a video camera (main body side apparatus) 1 has a main body side terminal 30, and a battery pack (component-to-be-loaded) 100 has a battery side terminal (component-to-be-loaded side terminal) 120. In the vicinity of the battery side terminal of the component-to-be-loaded, a discriminating tab 111 is provided, and a blocking portion 19 is provided in the vicinity of the main body side terminal of the video camera (main body side apparatus) for determining whether or not its loading is permitted based on the combination of concave and convex engagement with respect to the above-mentioned discriminating tab, and when the loading is not permitted due to the interference between the blocking portion and the above-mentioned discriminating tab, an electric connection between the main body side terminal and the battery side terminal (component-to-be-loaded side terminal) is not to be established.
Abstract:
Contact of terminals of a component to be loaded on a device and terminals on the device are avoided, even if the component is similar to, but differs from, a component intended to be loaded on that device. A discriminating tab is provided in the vicinity of the component terminals and a blocking portion is provided in the vicinity of the device terminals. The discriminating tab and blocking portion are relatively positioned to provide concave and convex interference or engagement with each other, either to block connection of the component terminal with the device terminal because of interference if the component is not permitted to be loaded on the device, or to permit connection of the component terminal with the device terminal because of engagement.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A battery apparatus and electronic equipment, in which the battery apparatus having a characteristic compatible with the electronic equipment can be suitably attached to the electronic equipment, and which are advantageous in miniaturizing themselves and improving their operability. In a battery apparatus (100), an identification section (18) of the battery apparatus (100) serves to identify a characteristic of the battery apparatus (100), and which is provided on an end surface (1022) and on both sides of a battery-side terminal (14) in the width direction (W) of the battery apparatus (100). The identification section (18) is configured with identification recesses (1802), (1804) formed in a manner open to the end surface (1022), and at least one of the positions, cross-sectional shapes, and lengths on the end surface (1022) of the identification recesses (1802), (1804) is formed on the basis of the characteristic of the battery apparatus. In the identification (18), the cross-sectional shape and length of the identification recess (1802) is formed on the basis of the characteristic of the battery apparatus (100).
